How do you feel about the over-tweezed and over-manicured eyebrows? I have some difficulty getting past it. I don't know what it is, but it just turns me off. It seems to be a big problem with the homos here in Philly.

Not a fan. If the guy just has to do it, moderation is preferred.

Though I've never understood guys that over-tweeze and over-manicure their eyebrows yet grow their chest hair. The juxtaposition confuses me.

To each his own. Some dudes it looks interesting. Others it looks maybe a bit high maintenance, but it's all cool with me. Do with them what ya want. Now showing off your man tits or man udders is a little problem with me but again, to each their own.

I agree. I mean, some minor maintenance is fine, but when they are super thin or non-existant, it's kind of a turn-off.

i've disvocered in los angeles that tweezing is no longer a homo-restricted acticity. crazy. this assimilation to the mainstream causes me much confusion and grief. we need to find a new thing to make us feel superior and snub our sloppy, poorly-dressed brothers. haha

overtweezing scares me. but then, so does undergrooming.

I'm all for being sloppy and poorly dressed.

I blew off my eyebrows when I was 10 playing with gasoline and fire. They grew back.

The only people who should trim their eyebrows are those old old guys who look like they have nest of hoary caterpillars on their brow.

I don't think it's very attractive. Something about it just takes away from someone's natural beauty. Sure a slight trim would do some people good, but I like to go o'natural. It surprises people that I never tweeze, shave or even bother to trim my eyebrows. I know that it gets women's panties in a twist, since they actually desire to obtain the highest qualities of beauty for whatever reasons...

Yes it turn me off too. I never touch my eyebrows, it come out natural. I don't see many homos have them here in Phoenix.

In my opinion, "overtweezed" eyebrows are feminine. If a guy wants to look that way, fine.

When I was about 40ish, I had to start trimming my eyebrows because the hair started growing too long (like the villains in silent movies). I also trim a little between them to avoid the single eyebrow look.

My eyebrows are the fullest bits of hair on my head, so I have to keept them right.

I think there is a balance. I have thick, not bushy, eyebrows. I make sure to keep them tweezed to avoid a uni brow and trim them to not be too long. I still look like I have thick eyebrows. I just look a little better groomed. Its part of the manscaping. Guys should be careful about waxing to remove large bits of hair. I get waxing kits to get rid of the stray hairs. It think I look million times better when I am kept up.

You just don't want to look like a mexican teenaged girl who has done the whole shave your eyebrows off rite of passage...

Thank you for the light topic!

I used to have to bisect a unibrow, but I seem to have beaten it down several years ago. Aside from that I do ocaissionally get a wax just to clean up a little. My main request is usually "I don't want to look constantly surprised or like an old woman."

i think unibrows (on the right person) are very sexy. but i think any hair, anywhere, deserves a little trim if its out of control (ex - nothing worse than long wirey hairs reaching out like branches from under an arm pit), which is a matter of personal taste of course.

I really don't like the high arched overly-manicured look that men are doing these days. It seems to be getting out of control. Nothing more unattractive than an otherwise very virile looking man with very short stubble on his face, great build, rugged and edgy good looks all to be spoiled by obviously arched eyebrows. I try to kindly tell these guys that they don't need to do that and that they are hotter with less "beautifying."

Trimming the length of eyebrow hairs is a different story. As we age these hairs can become too long and also there is a development of superfluous hairs that grow out of the ear canal and throughout other parts of the ear lobe and anatomy. Trimming the length of the eyebrow hairs to restore them back to what used to be what one had in his 20's or 30's makes a guy look well groomed. I think this is fine. But the arch has got to go.

I personally tweeze literally no more than 2 individual hairs from each brow. They just grow so low that it looks a bit odd and out of place. But I'm not trying to create some super arch to give Joan Crawford a run for her money.

I've always been terrified to go get them "cleaned up" because I'm scared they'll come out looking too neat and unnatural.

I guess I just don't trust estheticians; so I usually just make sure there are two and leave them be. If a guy doesn't talk to me because of my eyebrows I feel like there are other reasons we wouldn't hit it off.

Coincidentally, I was just surprised at a coffee shop by someone I'd been chatting with online earlier today. Apart from the uneasy feeling that I was being kinda stalked, I was completely distracted by his perfect, obviously waxed eyebrows. I don't know why I find that so unattractive but it really does completely turn me off.

But then I don't get pedicures either.

I am one of those guys that gets his eyebrows threaded once a month and while relaxing I feel it makes me look more fresh faced.

It probably also helps that I have a beautiful, medium breasted, indian woman massage my temples, brow area and forehead before and after to prepare and calm the area.

They are never pencil thin or remotely close. Just clean. Actually you can probably see in that pic of mine harharhar.

Over trimmed and shaped eyebrows are a turn off for me though, to answer the question.

I don't find anything wrong with it since int can really make a difference in a person's appearance. To be honest som people do need to wax, twizz or whatever....no one likes a unibrow.

AS to the hairy chest vs over twozzed eyebrow thing.
You can hide a chest alot easier then you hide a brow since no one alive has x-ray vision plus a haiy chest is very sexy (on some people).

I like masculine guys, and don't think "manicuring" (??, mani=hand) your eyebrows makes u masculine at all.

A man is that: non-manicured hands, non-pedicured feet, not-tweezed eyebrows, non-shaved chest.

If you have long nails, then clip'em and that's it, for god's sake!

why do you have to wax your eyebrows???? what's next step: using mascara? red nail polish? pink lipstick? cutting our dicks off and putting a vagina instead? ohh sorry, that's already being done...

big turn ON for me: regular GUYS, with man hands, manly body, a clever mind, sporty and not into this crazy metrosexual/Idon'thavemoreinterestingstufftodothanwaxingmyeyebrows stuff

waxing their eyebrows...

One of my eyebrows grows a much higher peak than the other, making me look like I've raised it intentionally. Years ago, I started plucking the top of it just to even it out. I was tired of always looking like I was about to say "You're not going to wear that, are you?" I am always thinking that, but that's beside the point.
