Hey guys, I'm alway having trouble color coordinating when it comes to clothes. I have this teal shirt and I don't know what I can match it with. Also does teal suit my skin tone? What colors complement them? Even when choosing a color for my hair, I don't know which color would look nice on me. Help!

I have a teal shirt that looks good with blue jeans. The teal and turquoise family should look good on you as should reds and blues.

Depend on the shade and material of the shirt you can pull off a formal look or preppy. But anyway to create a formal look, stick with the basic, black pant or black jean and tucked in, no tacky accessories, pair them with a charcoal blazer if you wanna layer up. Beside that you can wear Khaki pants, roll them up an inch or two and do a half tucked in or loose tucked in to create a preppy look. Wear something red if you wanna compliment the teal shirt. Red belt, red shoes or a red hat.

Whether its a good choice of color for you or not, you be the judge lol not many people can pull off teal

BLACK DOES NOT GO WITH EVERYTHING DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR LIES.

Teal, depending on the tone, can go really well with blues/purples, some greens, orange, reds (burgundy too), pinks, and metallics such as copper, gold, or silver (for more formal wear). Good neutrals with teal are brown, beige, gray, white, and navy.

I have a teal hoodie that I wear with either gray or dark blue jeans and either a navy/purple striped tee or a mélange purple tee.

Yellow is the only colour I can think of that you should avoid, as it will wash you out.

So according to Anduru's examples, teal should only be for prom dresses and tacky furniture. icon_lol.gif

    Anduru gets right....

I'd like to add that if you add smoke grey or earth brown it'll help to create masculinity for the guy.

And once again, Anduru - fashion hero - saves the day icon_lol.gif

Thanks, really detailed icon_biggrin.gif And thanks for all the replies too.

I actually ended up wearing it with denim jeans and a pair of red shoes. Hope I didn't make any faux pas. And seriously, what is up with the fork and spoon? icon_confused.gif

Man I love these colors, I need more of them in my wardrobe.
To the poster, teal is such a beautiful color it'd go with any skin tone. For myself I personally love any bright color. I have yellows, bright lime greens, teal (need more) pinks.
But our skin tones are a bit different lol.
Looking at your pic I think you'd look great in Red
