I just applied for the Gay birthright trip. For all of you who do not know what birthright is. It is a free trip to Israel for any Jews. I of course applied for the gay version.

So any other gay Jews on here, today is the day to register so get to it!

I know you are my competition for getting picked for this trip, but I figure I would spread the wood. Cuz im cool like that ; )

Goodluck all and hope to see you there!

    Link is below:

So wish me luck guys. I am not very religious, but would love the experience to travel to Israel, especially for free. Plus an added bonus is I bet the guys are smoking hot in the gay clubs there.

WHAT?!? I didn't know there was a GAY birthright trip!

What are the limitations? I'm pretty sure I can't go being over the age limit and having been there once already.

And the guys at the gay clubs are sadly like they are here: ugly. But in general the men in Tel Aviv are fucking beautiful. Most of them look Brazilian. That's what happens after two generations of Egyptians, Saudi Arabians, Moroccans, Germans, French, and Russians having sex with each other in a really small country.

    @ Jake

U must b under 26 and Jewish to apply. (actually I think u can b any religion to apply technically. I have heard of non Jews getting picked if they give a good reason for why they want to go)

And the gay version is different because you are with a whole lgbt group. And aside from learning and seeing the typical sights u learn about gay culture in Israel and go to some gay areas.

So put me with a bunch of Jewish boys is a fur lovers dream lol.

If u fit the age requirement u can apply.

Granted unless ur jewish u prob won't get in. But anything is possible. Plus if ur an ethiopian Jew, u will prob get in just for the rarity aspect. I have met a few and its a very small sect of black jews.

I am hoping I get picked due to my novelty of being a half Indian Jew.

BTW im not religious at all so u don't even really need to b a practicing Jew, just have Jewish parents and ur good

My Grandfather is Jewish, but it ends there since it's on da mama's side! I did go to Temple Beth Shalom when I was a child, but I'm not "jewish enough" to be accepted!

My bffl is from Tel Aviv, though, and I CANNOT wait to go visit her there some day!

Ok I just got back from this trip yesterday and had an amazing time.

There is too much to tell, but let's just say I have 40 new lgbtq friends that r so close we are one big family. (an insestuous family but a family).

I am not very religious and the trip didn't shove zionism or Israel pride or Judaism down my throat. Instead they did a good job showing the problems as well as awesomeness of Israel. Not only did the trip go over Israel and Judaism but it also helped me with my gay identity. The lgbt people on the trip were so diverse too but we all became friends. In fact I was worried about the more flamboyant guys on the trip yet they ended up being some of the more fun, funnier, chiller guys.

The trip taught me to not judge a book by its cover. That transgender people are not gross or weird but nice normal people. And that I fucking love lesbians. None wer militant about feminism or manhating. In fact I related more to the dykes than a lot if the gays in a few ways. Like when we had time to shop or eat. I was always for eating over shopping hehe.

Ok at the risk of sounding like a slut, its a great opportunity to hookup. I made out with 7 different people during the 10 days I was there. I didn't have anal sex on the trip tho so I'm not technically a slut right?

And Israelis are so hot Omg. Our soldiers took us to a warehouse party in tel aviv that was glam themed and the fuckable ratio was like 80%. Good odds lol.

I may or may not have a future boyfriend when he gets back from Israel who's as sexually adventurous as me and apparently not against having three ways in a bathroom with a random Israeli you find ; ). Also he's cute, Jewish so my mom would b happy and he is also into lifting weights and playing super smash bros.

And most of all I now have 40 new friends who I know I will keep in touch with and chill with for years to come.

Tel aviv is an amazing city that I could see myself living in... Tho it is expensive.

So if u plan on going hit me up. I can give u a refferal code so that ur more likely to get in. Because I guarantee this trip will become popular fast.

Glad you had a great time. My partner and I support birthright financially and we were stoked when they planned the GLBT trip. We were there last March for Purim (a festive Jewish holiday, not unlike our Halloween) and had a blast with 50,000 gay men on the beach in Tel Aviv one day...sheesh!

Israel can't be explained in a sound bite or even one intelligent article. I'm glad they showed you both sides.

And as my husband always said, Jewish Men Make the Best Husbands

Please do not talk about Israel vs Palestine in this thread. It is off topic and I still do not know which side of the arguement I stand on. I did not say anything racist in my posts. And I hope for peace between the two sides.

    So please be respectful.

Too Bad its only open to people who are Jewish, not very open.....
I am curious where does the money come from? Is it government sponsored?

Glad to see that they have an LGBT tour, though it is not surprising since the Israeli government launched a large scale tourism campaign aimed towards the LGBT community. I don't know if its true, but I have heard from my Australian friends who's family is originally from British Palestine and are Jewish (his grandmother since has moved back and cousins live in Tel Aviv now as well) is that Tel Aviv is very open and liberal, but leaving Tel Aviv is pretty conservative and not open, would you agree?

I guess I'm curious as well, why is solely open to people who are Jewish?

sxydrkhair> Iam a Palestinian gay and I happen to have Jewish ancestor long time ago.

You made that up - despite the historical and genetic data to the contrary.
(Though it's funny given self-contradictory claims of descent from Philistines and Canaanites.)

There, now that can be discussed in that thread, where it belongs.

That is the most racist thread I have ever read in here. In that state of mind your brain, has been programmed with so many lies. Palestinians are and will always descendants of the Bible's Jews and mixed with their conquerors. They are not biological Arabs, they are Palestinians who are culturally Arabized peoples. Many Israeli politicians, geneticists, scientists, and historians all agree with that. Israel prefers to call "Israeli Arabs" rather than the Palestinians. You are just another guy who hates Palestinians. Get over yourself dude.

If you could actually support what you say, you'd have followed the link and done so there.

Instead you repeat your tangled web of fantastical falsehoods here in the hope that someone will be fooled.

Merman316> Israel prefers to call "Israeli Arabs" rather than the Palestinians

A large percentage of Israeli Arabs self-identify as such, and this is distinct from the Arabs outside of Israel who began calling themselves "Palestinians" after 1948 (and moreso after 1967).

    Which is already discussed here:

"Palestine" is the Latin/European name for Eretz Yisrael, the Jewish homeland
and early 20th century Arab denials of the existence of "Palestine".

    http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/349491

Now perhaps you can respect the authors wishes and keep politics out of this thread?
