SO who on here that did or still like MM's output (Portrait of a American Family, Smells like Children, AntiChrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, HollyWood, Golden Age of Grotesque, Eat Me Drink Me & The High End of Low)

He's released a new controversial video for his new single (with a F'd up video directed by none other Transformers star Shia Labuef (sp?)) - & he shows his skills as a twisted imaginary in his directorial debut for the new MM single!

Any fans & what albums of his you consider fav's?!

OH agreed! I saw him in New Orleans during his "HOLYWOOD" tour - & the POWER he had amongst his audience & his whole stage show made it one of the more exciting & best concerts I've ever seen!

Dang- just wish I got to see him LIVE during his exquisite "Anti-Christ Superstar" tour - as from what Ive heard - THAT was THE tour to see & catch him on! oh well...icon_twisted.gif

I have a lot of respect for Marilyn Manson, I like his music, his sound, and I'd love to see him in show.

But the last part of this vid wasfucking disgusting. Ew. I'm still grossed out. And fighting for my dessert to stay in. Eww.

    Kudos to Labeouf, though.

Likewise Scruffypup - his music in my Mp3 player BLOWS up my workout weightlifting sessions. Turned up to the max & it pushes me harder. Angst gets worked out of me in my workouts.

THough aside from Manson - in the gym I jam to others such as Slayer, Samhain, The Misfits, Ramones, Megadeth, & other metal bands that make me push that last extra extra rep in my sets. Music helps me greatly in my workouts! icon_cool.gif

Do any o' ya fans LOVE this album HOLYWOOD? which , to me , was a great return to form since his ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR album. It was his "rage & outcry" response due to the COLUMBINE MASSACRE (in which , by the media, he was blamed for (?!) )

It tells a excellent "concept album" story - as well as some great heavy hitting deep songs such as: Godeatgod, The Fight Song, The Love Song, Disposable Teens, Crucifiction in Space, The Death Song, & King Kill 33.

This album rocked - saw him on THIS tour & it blew my mind. He can control a audience like no other! Loved it!

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidThere's something to the tone of his voice that rattles me. I never cared for him or his music.

Yeah MuchMoreThanMuscle - many find his vocal style offputting. But personally, it FITS the music & anger he expresses in his music to a perfect pitch. IMHO.

    WOW.

I've never seen so much vagina on YouTube.

I can't say I love it, but it definitely piqued my senses and in that regard the video is definitely a success!

DUDE! this too is a great workout song in my book! I just didn't want to post it & have *ahem* anyone get offended by the name in it. Which as we know isn't used as a racial slur.

I used to be a HUGE fan, and I still think Mech. Animals is one of the best rock albums of the 2000's.
But even ill have to admit I just dont think his more recent work is anywhere close to his first 3 and a half outings.
Now Long hard road, and cryptorchid, that is some awesome marriage of song and visuals

Since the celebrity thread has probably died, thought I'd repost my most memorable moment with Manson....

Manson disliked me from the moment I met him but I couldn't figure out why. When I talked to him I felt like I was speaking to a crocodile that was about to attack me.

One night I asked if I could use his phone. He gave me the mean look and said "sure" and pointed to the wall phone, even though there was a phone right beside us. I put the phone to my ear and felt a loud "SQUISH." There was a huge gob of mayonaise on the phone and now my ear was full of it! I walked back over to him and said "someone put mayonaise on your phone." He just continued sipping his drink, so I said "did you do that to your own phone?" He looked me dead in the eye and said "yes", as if my question was ridiculous.

He had been glaring at me particularly hard that night, to the point I felt so uncomfortable I almost left. My buddy told me Manson saw me as competition with the girls and that he seldom allowed men over. So he started rubbing my back and sure enough, Manson's attitude towards me changed instantly. He looked at me and said "so you're gay?" and I said "yes." He then said "oh, it all makes sense now." (I have no idea what that meant.)

So we were all standing in a small huddle....me, Manson, my best friend, Dita (his girl friend at the time) when I said to my friend "that dude is so hot." I was referring to Manson's assistant PJ...a cute little straight hairy Italian guy. (I'm changing his name here.) Manson immediately turned to me and asked "what did you say?" I tried brushing it off but he grabbed my arm and demanded to know what I had said. I said "I just said I think your assistant is hot." So Manson yells at PJ to come there. I said "NO!!!" but he called him over anyway. I felt my face turn 20 shades of red. PJ stands in front of us and says "yeah?" Manson says "drop your pants for my friend here so he can see what you're working with." PJ says "fuck you" to Manson and starts to walk away. Manson tackles him to the floor and pulls his pants down. Manson yells at me "fuck him!" I'm standing there in total shock and horror looking for a way to escape when Manson pulls me to the floor and tells me to "finger fuck him." So I make like I'm finger fucking him just to make the situation go away, and he sticks his finger in my ear and digs out some left over mayonaise and puts it on my finger. At this point PJ breaks free, pulls his pants up and goes to the back like this sort of thing happens all the time. Later in the night I apologized to PJ and he said "oh that's cool, I kind of liked it, just not in front of the girls."

My favorite albums are MA and AS, but I too liked Eat me Drink me. What a rebel teen I was... but I still like all these albums. It would be a good surprise to find another MM or heavy metal fan within my gay circles.
