I have the 4 and just plug it in every night regardless fo how much battery is left. I've read that this is not suppose to affect battery life.
What's your experience, is this true?

I don't have an Iphone, but you aren't suppose to overcharge laptops and other phones.

I have a 3Gs and charge it a couple times a day..does not affect battery life but age does. I just replaced mine after 3years.. Waiting on iPhone 5 for "new" technology... Laptop batteries should "stop"charging when full...

it's good to let the battery get pretty low. It helps with it's memory life, how long it will last on a charge.

I keep it plugged in constantly; at work, in the car, at home. If I need it without a plug, I turn the brightness WAY down.

    iPhone 4.

Screen brightness to 50% and wifi turned off adds at least 3 hours to my battery life.

Depends on the day. I would average I charge it every other day. If I travel and am stuck in an airport, I kill the FUCK out of that thing surfing the web while waiting for flights.

Other than that texting, phone data and checking e-mail isn't too demanding on the battery.

Kill your phone battery once a month for iPhone, other than that Lithium ion batteries like mid-cycle charges.

I have the iPhone 4 and charge it overnight every night. I also have to plug it in by about 1pm everyday just to top it up to last the remainder of the day... Not the phones fault; I'm just on it too much!

I usually just plug it in and charge it in the morning (I use it as a backup alarm clock) after I get out of bed and while getting ready for work. That seems to give it enough juice to last until the next day.
