Don't forget Republican nutjob. He campaigned for the 1988 Republican nomination.

Robertson ran on a standard conservative platform. Among his policies, he wanted to ...eliminate departments such as the Department of Education and the Department of Energy.

Robertson's campaign got off to a strong second-place finish in the Iowa caucus, ahead of [incumbent President] Bush.

Robertson later did less well in some Republican primaries, but won in Washington. He ultimately conceded defeat and withdrew. But he is most definitely a Republican, and addressed the 1988 Republican National Convention.

Mr Robertson forgot that when one forgets (alzheimer's) another remembers.

Guess that whole promise of "in sickness and in health, 'till death do us part" bit is just for show.

A perfect example of the hypocrisy and cold-heartedness selfishness of the "Family Values" religious right Repubs who claim to be morally superior to the rest of us.
    HA!

Funny, I know a shitload of republicans and not a one who would include this bird.

I LOVE it! It just continues to 'cheapen' 'traditional biblical marriage' for those who advocate for it so badly..

You don't know of a Repub who would "do something like this"?

How about current Repub presidential candidate, Newt Gingrich?

Gingrich dumped one of his former wives and told her he was divorcing her (for a younger woman), as his wife was lying in a hospital bed having just been diagnosed with cancer!.

    The situations are remarkably similar.

In fact, I'd say that Gingrich's behavior is quite a bit worse.

Rick, im very well of the Gingrich Edwards type folks. Know all about it. Maybe I shoud have defined 'know' a better. I meant friends of mine. No way that he'd be any friend of mine. I can't tell them what to do with their life but I want nothing to do with them.

lol the clarification, to me, made it even worse. It all stems from the ridiculous notion that god caused the alzheimer's in the man's wife. The perils of fundamentalism.
