FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines announces a $99 roundtrip fare for flights between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and both Los Angeles and San Francisco. This fare is for round-trip economy class travel purchased on AA.com at least 21 days prior to departure. Travel must be completed by Oct. 27, 2011. Additional restrictions apply*

"Fall is a great time to get away to California or Texas," said Rob Friedman, American's Vice President -- Marketing. "We have the most flights between DFW and Los Angeles and between DFW and San Francisco. Now it's even better. We've made it easy and affordable whether your choice is Southern California, the San Francisco Bay or the Lone Star State."

American Airlines offers as many as 19 roundtrip flights a day from its largest hub, DFW, to Los Angeles, one of AA's cornerstone markets. Both communities are popular destinations for business or leisure and both offer numerous international connections. American also has 11 roundtrip flights a day between DFW and San Francisco, not only a popular tourist destination, but a leading center for business on the West Coast.

Funny you should mention this as I was playing around with the idea of going to San Francisco sometime next year. I even checked Virgin America (as they are fairly new flying into MCO) Round trip was over $450, but get this....the best I found was $338 on Frontier. Go figure!
