    Hey y'all,

Anyone else here done or is in the process of doing one of the bodybuilding.com 12 Week Transformations? I just completed week 1 of the Kris Gethin Hardcore Video trainer today... looking for anyone else who is on the same journey!

    So? Anyone?

i did it 2 years ago. had to modify it in order to work around a bad knee and shoulder. and extended it to 14 weeks because i had a couple of periods when i was travelling so much that i had to go 3 days at a time without getting anywhere near a gym.

it was a pretty good program. lost 35 lbs. the first 15 or so came off easy because they had been gained rather rapidly over just a few months just prior to starting the program.

for nutrition, i used fitday.com to track all calories in and out. my meal plan started with hardcore atkins induction, then transitioned to about 50% prot, 30% fat, 20% carbs. all carbs were complex with high fiber (fresh fruits and veggies). cardio was combo of swimming, surfing and long hilly walks with a 20 to 30 lb knapsack. (i have 2 dogs i have to keep exercised, so the walking served multiple purposes.

hope something here is useful. let me know if you want more. and good luck!!!

I've done both of Kris' workouts (and the ones here) and also Ronnie Coleman's at bodybuilding.com. They work if you work it.

    Keep at it!

The RJ workout plans here are good, but http://www.bodybuilding.com is more complete with anatomy explanations, motivation tips, eating well, supplements to take/not take... and 95% less drama. icon_lol.gif

    All,

Just an update, 9.8 total pounds lost in 3 weeks. Down from 219.4 to 209.6! Strength is up too, I'm lifting heavier and loving that pump that I'm getting.

redhawknate on BodySpace if anyone else is on there!

Starting week 9/12... 4 weeks to go! 22 lbs lost, looking way leaner on every part of my body. Top of my abs are starting to come through really well, just an ounce of fat left on the bottoms before they pop... I will get there!!!

I have to say, after two months on this program, I'm totally blown away by the successes I've had, just sticking with it and lifting heavy is giving me incredible results. Everyone around me notices, people treat me differently, and my confidence is way up. Take the reins on your life and make a change, you will not regret it.

I'd definitely recommend it man. I'll agree with everything said in the other thread... you don't get abs in the gym, you get them in the kitchen. Looking at your plan, you're going to burn out quick if you're new to the gym. I know my way around the gym, but this program is for the dedicated. I've dropped 27 lbs in 64 days because I've kicked my ass every day in the gym and eaten to fuel myself, not for pleasure.

Just my .02, but you can't get hardcore results if you're not willing to be hardcore icon_smile.gif

    Dan,

Congrats man! Go for it. I promise if you put in the time, it will be majorly worth it. I was looking at my "before" pictures tonight compared to where I'm at now... I can't believe how much change I've made. Plan to dedicate at least 20m/day to cardio if you have a desk job (Kris recommends 40, but I work retail, running around all day), plus about an hour to lifting 4-5 times a week.

An update from me... I'm down from 219.6 to 187.8 as of last Saturday. Stayed away from bad food today during the holiday, so keeping it up. One week, one day to go. Get some.

Final weigh in was today... I lost a total of 37 lbs, and I'm down to 8% BF in twelve weeks! Pretty awesome results from this thing... I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to really make a change in their life!
