Members who aren't here anymore of late:

    Southbeach1500
    CuriousJockAZ
    socalfitness
    mocktwinkie
    riddler78
    Mohamed
    mnboy
    HavenJock80

Any others I'm missing? We know that Southbeach WAS banned at least once, otherwise he wouldn't have come back and raged about it. So... has the banhammer fallen on anyone else recently outside of the usual alien-worshiping indie filmmaker?

But that's not why mnboy and Mohamed aren't here, is it? And I have no idea who HavenJock80 is icon_redface.gif

Honestly couldn´t care less if SB and his silly friends all died in a freak lightning storm. I hadn´t noticed anything (all of them are blocked as i don´t have the patience to read their spewings)

I noticed Mohammed was gone icon_sad.gif

Yes I noticed that too. It's a shame, I hope that Mohammed reconsider its decision and decides to return to join us again.

I can see it is not really a right wing boycott, but a general malaise with a whole lot of our best Forum posters. Think about how many guys are not posting anymore. There are two groups .... the guys who have deleted their accounts, and the guys who just don't bother much anymore. Some of the best guys who were here when I started don't participate as much. When I asked some of them why, the answers were very similar..........they were/are tired and bored with people on this site who had NO particular interest in health & fitness - but instead continued to start fights, complain about everything under the sun, etc. The tattle tale from Florida has a lot to answer for with respect to causing guys to depart or just spend more time with Facebook, instead of RJ.

This is not worth wasting a thread over. Obviously, the little girls got their panties in a wad, agreed to meet on the playground, held hands while forming a circle and made a pact to run away from home together. "And boy oh boy we'll show them!" icon_rolleyes.gif

Add Caslon to the list too, he was such an abrasive, aggressive, meme-posting, combative old queen.

    I enjoyed his presence here.

do bear in mind that the quietness of the forum might have something to do, too, with me being so fully occupied I am not hear to sound off with regularity.

I stopped before because it became pointless.

I will be back in action on October 4th, stirring this up and quite eager and ready to discuss issues with all points of view in the new climate of respect for intellectual honesty. It will be nice to hear people willing and able to resond sincerely to questions; elaborate on points they raise, all without engaging in revisionism or denialism.

That bit screams of USI... just sayin

Also, "here," not "hear." Bad grammar is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I heard a lot of complaints about Caslon, but I never saw him say anything so bad. I think some people can't see the difference between someone who is intentionally antagonistic and someone who simply has a different point of view.

Oh, I'm pretty sure he was intentionally antagonistic at times, but he executed this in a way which was hella funny to me.

Most people cannot attempt to execute this feat without just coming off as a bitter douche, but he had a knack for ultimately harmless yet still highly effective, combative, antagonistic lulz.

jockfever: It only matters when bolshevik free speech is curtailed. Libs are such champions of free speech, free expression, tolerance, open-mindedness, diverrrrrrrrrsity.

These are the same Libs who endlessly get their knickers in a knot imagining that they're losing their rights, and the "chilling effect" of what some Republican did or said.

Then they dance around like drunken savages when someone on the center-right is silenced.

SouthBeach used facts, logic, evidence, and humor for years while only rarely stooping to respond to the endless personal attacks on him.

If he was banned, why? For bringing up TropicalMark's heart attack?

Seems like the bolshevik bois can foul any topic on RJ with worthless personal attacks, blatantly violating RJ's own "rule," with no fear of being "banded" (sic).

agree with the first part of your post. But he was vindictive and I found him rather dull

I found the RJ members mentioned above variable;sometimes reasonable but argumentative;other times far too personal and insulting.Their long running threads full of attacks turned me right off the debates(often very profound ones).
I think one of the mistakes we make is to take these guys far too seriously, rising to their baits. It gives them a kind of power they don`t warrant. This is only the internet, after all,not the real world.

Hey Einstein.....this "drunken savage Lib" wrote a letter to the administrators telling them I thought it was unfair to ban him. As a matter of fact, a thread was started (by a LIB) who was also upset about the banning. These guys left on their own. They were NOT BANNED. As usual, you got your "facts" all wrong.
