Guys, in their description (a4a, craigslist, grindr, etc.), say that they are good looking but when you see their picture, you're like WTF????

    number 1... on who's standard

number 2... who told you, that you were good looking?

kinda mean and harsh, but it's the truth!!!

    who's with me?

99.99% of those self-described "VGL" types are always headless... Which makes me wonder and question myself how will I know you're telling the truth about anything else if you don't even have a face to back up that statement?

I generally just instantly block on a4a and grindr if I see something like that.

Any guy that writes "VGL" or "GL" is completely delusional, generally as much of a liar as the guys that write they are "Very Masc" on their profile, yet when you hear them speak on the phone before you meet: three purses fall out of the phone. icon_eek.gif

The conventional well-rounded ones that go to baseball and football games on a first date have no conclusory self-serving statements about their looks or their masculinity in their profile.

I don't think his post was directed at you. I think he was talking about the guys you described on Grindr.

Neither was I. I wasn't directing my comment at you you fucking imbecile. I was simply making an affirmation of what you just wrote.

It's hard for someone to talk up their good qualities in general online... It's one of those things that if you say it, people automatically assume it's a lie haha.

But with good reason, I'll grant.

Hmm based on the general feedback on this thread, should I apply the logic of reversed psychology now when describing myself? For example "I'm a complete retarded troll and I hate myself more than anything or anyone else icon_biggrin.gif " ? icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyway, to be honest I hate it when someone takes it too seriously. If someone thinks he himself is good-looking, I'd immediately give him a thumb-up for being confident about his physical being (don't underestimate this quality ;) ) Whether or not he lives up to what he proclaims to be doesn't matter that much. I can simply pass it off as a lame joke. But why the need to get pissed off? hmmm
