Its me falling from thousands of feet in the air.

I am doing some quality bonding with my ex this weekend by jumping from a plane. I have never done anything like this before and am getting a little freaked out as the day grows closer.

    Anybody sky dived before? stories?

YIKES! That's something I'd like to try, but I doubt I ever will. I don't think I'll ever be brave enough.

I hope you enjoy the experience though.

I've made 9 jumps, it is the most AWESOME thing. I highly recommend it. Listen carefully during all your ground lessons and keep your head about you and you will love it.

I've done the tandem jump. You get strapped to an experienced Skydiver, and he does the jumping from the plane part. You just go along for the ride.

    It was great.

I wish I could skydive but I've had lung problems and skydiving is one of the things I'm not allowed to do. icon_sad.gif

I have several solo jumps logged and have to say that the first one was so f***ing liberating! It's life expanding to push through that kind of fear.

There would be no way in Hell!
I don't care if they told me upon landing I could pick the 5 hottest guys on Earth to f*** until I couldn't!

    Oh my god.

But good luck and have fun!

I've now done this a number of times. Oh the freedom, when all is OK. Shoot open, check slide. Now it's time to enjoy.

Yet before I let go of this perfectly fly plan. One is all in torment. But once you let go, the torment is gone (for me). I go str8 into the count.

I just love it. Are you doing free fall, or tandem?

But then I've gone scuba diving with sharks too. This is another kind of freedom. It's like flying in a botanical garden.

But then I love fast cars, and motorbikes too.

well we could sit around and pontificate over the issues in our relationship or have fun together like we used to. What better way than to jump from a plane!

    Och... with your EX?!

What if... he had hidden issues about your breakup and he sabotages your parachute! Ah intrigue!

    Be careful. LOL Have fun.

well I am jumping tandem, so that would be a double homicide. We are still good friends, so I doubt any sabotage will happen. just looking to have a good time with no drama. Experience something life changing.

I LOVE skydiving! I've done it 4 times already. First time was tandem when I turned 18... my mom thought I was going to hit her car! Since then I did it when I got a chance up in Daytona where they have a school for it.

I think it's an odd, but interesting idea to do it with your ex! I love the creativity, and possible intrigue, about it! icon_biggrin.gif

Never tried but I would like to. I would much rather skydive then bungee jump. If something goes wrong you are likely to end it all by skydiving. As opposed to bungee jumping where you could end up severely injured but still alive (e.g. in a wheelchair).

What I hear the most likely way of getting injured skydiving is on the landing.

BTW you must have a good relationship with your ex if you are going skydiving with him!

So I went last weekend and it was a blast. I did not get any pictures in the air, but will post some from us on the ground when I can get them off my crackberry.
