Flirting

My mom always got on me for flirting when I was younger…we would pick me up from school and say “so who was that girl you were flirting with outside?” I would respond “I was not flirting, she is my friend and we were just talking”. And she say that is what flirting is….right now I’m gay and reminded her of this and she says that to them it was flirting…so what about all the guys I talked to who were straight, was that flirting.

Anyone else ever had parents with stupid ideas of what flirting was or thought you were interested in someone who you totally weren’t. For me it was just any every girl my mom saw me talking to.

It's probably wishful thinking on your mom's part.

You can flirt with someone you have no interest in.
You could have been flirting with the girl or your straight guy friends could be flirting with you.

Bahahah my mom used to do the same thing. Now that she knows I'm gay she doesn't anymore. I think its partly the way gays interact with girls. My more flamboyant side comes out sometimes around certain girls, especially my diva black girl firends.
