    http://www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/09/17/california.straw.poll/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

"Paul won with 44.9% of the votes, Texas Gov. Rick Perry came in second with 29.3% of the votes, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney came in third with 8.8% of the votes."

Talk about some strange things happening amongst repubs... the splits are historic.. never seen such a disparity!

Is this another one of those straw polls where candidates pay for the voters tickets, and therefore expect to see a vote for them in return? Ron Paul got more bang for his buck at the Ames Straw poll as the number of tickets he purchased was a lot closer to the number of votes he received. But Bachmann purchased more tickets, and received more votes. But the disparity between tickets purchased and votes received was greater than Paul's.

California's 2012 Republican primary is set for June. By that time, we will most likely know the nominee, so California probably is not going to matter that much in the process. Perry and Romney did not even attend the Los Angeles convention this weekend.
