I've been following the ACC back when it only stretched from Maryland to SC. In fact the gamecocks were members then. Now it is just another mega conference. Kind of sad but it is either that are going the way of the southwest and soon to be defunct Big 12 (which had how many). Speculation is growing that UT could join ACC.

Texas is headed to the Pac 10 along with OU, TT, and OSU

ACC may look to invite Rutgers and UConn but will have to wait to see if Big 10 also tries to expand and adds these schools along with Notre Dame

Missour and WVU could be SEC bound

the Big 12/BE leftovers could form a new Conference USA

I say get UCF out of the Catholic Girls School Conference they are in and send them to either the ACC or Big East. UCF is currently in Conference USA and the only bowl game they can aspire to is the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. No BCS tie implications in that conference either.....sad icon_sad.gif

Not so fast. Texas is having a TV network problem with the PAC-10 that it wouldn't have with the ACC. It is all very confusing to me but that is what I read. I've also read that they are close to closing a deal with the Pac-??. I also read that Texas would move with Texas Tech. UConn and Rutgers are both aggressively pursuing the ACC. The Texas schools would be a big money coup for the ACC but I think UConn and Rutgers would be better for culture and tradition and would seal NYC as an ACC city. The Texas schools would do well in the Big 10 geographically, and time zone speaking but I think you're right they are headed west.
