    So I did something stupid.
I picked at some acne, and now the acne/ pimple is gone, ghe skin feels about normal (no bump etc) but the redness is stuck behind. Its been like 2 weeks, and it doesnt seem to be going.

Hope this goes away, its kinda big and on my cheek near my mouth.

I googled and found all kinds of things, but not sure what to believe. And no< i dont have a dermatologist guys.

    Thanks.

Get the proactiv coverstick (made by the same company who makes proactiv) and use vitamin E cream, that will clear it up in no time. I have incredibly sensitive skin, and these worked for me icon_smile.gif

calm down dude. the redness are called Post Acne Hyperpigmentation. These red marks can last for wks, but they are.only TEMPORARY. Any type of acne treatment with salicylic acid as an ingredient helps fade them. Your skin shedding and renewing itself fade the redness too. Sun damage can make the redness appear worse and linger longer, so use sunscreen liberally if you want the red marks to disappear quickly.

Go to a high end department store (like Bloomies or Nordstrom) where they have a La Mer skin care counter. Be cool and chatty w/ the ppl who work at the counter and tell them you heard La Mer is a good line for people who have bruising & scarring. Then ask them if you can have some samples of The Concentrate that will last you long enough for the bruising to go away.

The whole point of being nice & chatty at first is to butter them up and hopefully they'll give you a good amount of Concentrate to last you a couple weeks. The stuff is amazing and costs $375 if you buy a bottle, but samples are free!
