I'm in the process of renovating my bedroom. I'm a 21-year-old college student. I want to paint my room a unique and interesting color...my walls are blue right now, and I feel like my room looks like it's meant for a 10-year-old kid. I want a color that is and appropriate for my age, but not really boring like white or gray. Open to modern or retro/old-fashioned look.

Any other tips for redoing my room are appreciated. icon_smile.gif

Don't put all the furniture on one side or else the trailer might tip over.

It would really help if you posted a pic of your room

You might look better in Aubergine, available at Eatons

Ok, here are some pics. Keep in mind that my room is getting completely renovated, new windows, new sheetrock (notice the wall under the window by my bed has a hole, because it rotted icon_sad.gif). I want everything new in my room, and I want it to actually look like a suitable bedroom for a 21-year-old male.

And yes, I know I need to clean it. ;)

This first one is from the doorway looking into my room:

yeah that blue is a little strong
How abput a tan with dark brown adn red accents, blues and greens also work really well there with out being feminine. It is dorm room don't put to much into it, you have a whole life to decorate. Go enjoy college and spend your money elsewhare.

I'm not paying for it lol. I live at home while I attend school and work part-time, my Mom is having everyone's bedroom renovated and a few other rooms in the house as well. Of course I want her to spend the least amount of money as possible, but the whole point of redoing the room is so that it actually looks nice.
