VX is going to trial run PSP from 12/15/11 to 4/30/12 with same plane service from JFK, nonstop from SFO. Connecting ops available from IAD and FLL.

wow. now both VX and AS are flying the SFO--PSP segment. does skywest still operate LAX-PSP? when i commuted to base at BWI, i always took the early morning PSP-LAX brasilia, then ran across the parking garage to catch the 0730 (pst) us air 757 from LAX to BWI.

I have flown on Virgin America before. I have to tell you, everything about it was pretty good.

    1. The check-in was excellent. Very little wait in line.
    2. The food choice was pretty good.
    3. Has Wi-Fi onboard so you're not bored to death in transcontinental flight.
    4. The inside of the cabinet is stylish.

The only drawback is the space is tiny. I am in no way a tall guy and I felt cramped. Flying back on the business was better. The upgrade was $300 and was the best $300 that I've spent. Technically it's less than $300 because as an upgrade you don't pay for the luggage fee and you get a pre-flight champagne, and meal. So when you think about it the upgrade is more like somewhere in 250 or so. I recommend the upgrade to people.

For now...yes...OO still flies the EM120 from PSP to LAX. They also fly the BarbieJet from SFO and DEN to PSP. We will see what happens to the LAX segment as the Brasillias go to their final resting places over the next few months.

Not so long ago my airline seasonally ran A320s into PSP from ORD...but don't see it happening again anytime soon. icon_sad.gif

it gets more popular during the winter for the 'snow birds' in the sfo area. when i took it, about a million years ago, it was an md-80 and there were maybe 60 pax onboard. hey, AS knows their target market and they cater to it. they were one of the few to first offer domestic partner bennies and they were also one of the first to run adverts in the gay/lesbian mags at the early onset of this in the mid 1990's. always a well run company.
