Watching it. Am disappointed. Singers do not seem that good to me and the whole thing seems like it is all poorly staged and phony. Unless it pick up steam, I won't be watching.

I'm hoping the world will have soon reached it's limit on these kind of talent shows. The airwaves are saturated with them and it is time to come up with some new ideas.

Tried to watch a little of this, but found it boring and redundant to other such shows. The Voice was much better done for a similar style show.

Same old same old show. The Paula Abdul walkout was extremely overdramatic. As if she hasn't seen a dick before!!!

Stacy Francis -- I had goosebumps.
Chris Rene -- I'm rooting for the dude. He's got incredible talent, and I like how he carries himself, but he has to stay clean.

I'm surprised I didn't like it as much as I was expecting to. Knowing what happened with Cheryl Cole made it like watching a horror movie waiting for the pretty girl to get slaughtered.

I know what you mean - Its common knowledge here on the uk the XF is completely scripted, especially the auditions. Most of the time the reactions from the crowd are 'mixed and matched' with different auditions to make certain contestants look like they are getting a better reaction than they actually are.

I still enjoy it for what it is though - a high budget pantomime with the occaisional talented singer. I'm glad they are showing the American version in the uk (it starts tonight) as the British version looks like it will be pretty terrible this year, judging by the auditions anyway.

I only wish the UK version was available on US tv----but have always managed to stay up with the show via the internet---

ALSO--- was very disappointed that Cheryl Cole did not last as a judge because I love her-- but can understand why as her accent is so damn strong!

I prefer The Voice over it. At least they had good singers and can't wait for its second season.

I'm a fan of the host of the show, Steve Jones.

The guy who sold his truck. YOU KNOW he had a wager going on with some friends. I didn't buy that "I sold my truck" bullshit.

Better than idol....The voice is better but the reward is a joke. Being that said some good real tangible talent can come out of this show.

The voice rules.....and it stole the thunder from this show. I think this will be the show that will kill the genre. It is OVERKILL.

Actually I liked PLATINUM HIT on Bravo the best...but I think I was the only one who watched that songwriting competition.

What was the reward on the Voice anyway? I don't even know.

What would be cool is if the winners went on tour with the mentors....

The guy with the Jesus look, long hair and facial hair was very good looking. If anybody can post his picture here, you'll see what I'm talking about. His smile was beautiful.

As for Steve Jones his voice isn't quite as charismatic like the emcees on So You Think You Can Dance or American Idol.
