Hokay so starting back in February I decided I was largely sick of being fat. lol I realized that, no matter how hard I wished, my torso would not fall off one night while I was sleeping and be replaced by one reminiscent of a ken doll. I had gotten super fat since freshman year of college, I was in the closet and didn't really give a fuck about being fat cause its not like I was trying to find anyone anyway, and I think subconsciously I was using it as a super good excuse as to why I didn't hook up with girls (lol "they don't want to, I'm too fat).
    [img src="http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/1439/201102180316491.jpg" />
So yeah there I was in all my c-cupped glory at a whopping 248lbs, don't know BF% lol but I'm sure it was really high.
I went on hydroxycut, did a 180 on my eating habits, and ran my heart out. With that, I lost 50lbs and was down to around 200. Starting in July, I added weight training, cause despite losing 50lbs lol I was largely soft. Was at 15% BF when I was in the 190s, lol but very far from what I'd consider to be toned.
    20110924134620.jpg
^There I am now. I'm now down to around 185.
    Ok background over...
My main question is about my chest, hence the title of the thread. Since the beginning of this whole experience, I've wanted a flat chest. The boobs came in at puberty, but I was largely inactive so it never went away. I don't know if its gyno or not, but its starting to piss me off lol. I fully understand that patience is the name of the body changing game, but I just want to make sure I'm doing what I should be in this BF stripping frenzy that my mind is in. It appears at the moment that my body is targeting my lower back fat, which is fine because that'd be no.2 on my most wanted list.
(Ultimately looking to rid myself of having a torso that mimics that silhouette of a female midget)
But back to the gyno, my nipples are occasionally puffy, but not all the time. I'd love to think that if I lower my BF% enough, the two inches of fat (or breast) that's hanging onto my pecs will disappear. Really don't want to have to get surgery.
I've done literally hours of research on the topic, but I don't know the efficacy of the so called man boob treatments.
From memory I believe that I should be:
    Avoiding:
Soy (just discovered nature valley bars have soy in em icon_neutral.gif)
    Certain deodorants lol
    plastic water bottles
    frozen vegetables
frozen meals in general (healthy choice was my shit cause I'm pretty busy with class, research, and life)
Weed ( I love weed, but I guess ultimately if the choice is between no boobs and bongs I guess I'd have to quit )
    Taking:
    anti-aromatase
    Tumeric
    Zinc
idk probably the oil of some fish
It seems like everything in the world is processed, and anything processed will increase estrogen levels.
For lifting I just do a day for each body part, chest day, back day...etc 3 sets of 10 for everything
Also saw somewhere that I should onllllyy be doing incline and avoiding all the others like a plague but again, idk the efficacy of this advise.
Running I alternate between HIIT and low intensity depending on my mood and time available. Torrented p90x so if I can't make it to the gym I'll do some plyo or yoga.
It just sucks cause the only extremely toned part of me are my calves icon_rolleyes.gif and who cares about them.

So if anyone has any advice as to how I should be stepping up my game, I'd gladly take it.

As for the man boobs.. If you want to avoid surgery, I suggest that you keep up with what you're doing. The fat in the pecs/nipples are probably more difficult to get rid of than the fat in the love handles. Even if you can't get rid of them completely, they'll be less noticeable as you continue to develop your pec muscles and lose additional weight.

And yes, quit smoking weed. Or at least cut back. I think I read something a while back that marijuana fucks with your hormones. So yeah, you gotta decide what is more important.

    Second what he said.

Also, building up your chest muscles more will help put the fat:muscle ratio in a direction you'd like more. Focusing on your upper chest will help give you the more square cut look that you seem to want. Avoid doing too much decline presses, dips, and even flat bench presses in favor of inclined ones.

    *Points finger at self*

All in all, you gotta stick with it results but you can definitely do it. Keep on trucking!

Try the paleo diet (just google the words) not much different than what you are doing but it does take off the layer of fat by removing the insulin resistance that grains and milk add to diet. Remember that we aren't that evolved from cavemen, we love to hunt for sex and food. Even with eating all the fat and eggs, my cholest went down and my abs popped out....and I did this in my late 50's...

Second, get your testosterone checked. Years of carrying around fat could have damaged your production. Remember to ask the doc to test for free testosterone (no the test isn't free) Nelson Vergel has a new book on the subject called Testosterone. Carrying around weight in the middle for years can shut down your luteal cells. You'll build lean muscle with doctor prescribed testosterone gels or shots.

btw you look fantastic.keep up the good work.

on a lighter note, if I walk with my arms straight up in the air they do disappear icon_smile.gif.

Thanks for the advice, I guess I'm gonna start focusing on upper chest a lot more. I can feel the glands behind the nipple, being assholes, rolling around in there, but I figured I'd try a forum and see if anyone had "overcome" gyno with the remedies ya find all over the internet. Its hard to mentally get passed but hey, what're'ya'gonna'do (aside from save 6 grand for surgery lol) just gonna keep on keeping on

I'd sooner buy the awesome sauce in your chest. Pecs are HOT.

You might also want to try Tribulus, or other Testosterone precursors? Just a thought. Research it out first, of course.

Great job on the safe, natural body transformation. Keep up the good work and stay positive!

(sorry couldn't get that one to resize)

So two years later and this is what we're working with now.
Outside of a lack of manscaping, I've just been working on proportionality and strength with my chest. Just kinda tried to work on increasing my shoulder and arm sizes to balance out the extra weight at the bottom of my chest.
    Also stopped doing decline altogether.

Definitely happy with the progress I've had so far (weight has been up and down but I'm working on keeping it stable), but obviously it's a continuum and I want to keep going.
I'm at the point now, where I'm not sure what to do continuing on. I know shoring up some more body fat will help tighten things up, but idk if I should proceed in a defining direction or building more mass or both haha i just a, not familiar with a whole lot of routines. Right now I just do 3 sets of 10-12 for flat bench, dumbbell incline, incline flys, and one more incline press machine. I do back on the same day in between.
It'd be nice to find a routine that widens my chest a bit. Ultimately if anyone has a good chest routine I'd appreciate it haha

You've obviously put on quite a bit of lean mass. Good work, man. I would suggest picking up a book called Starting Strength which will serve as a good basic lifting routine and help you tailor that basic routine to your own goals.
