What is "masculine?" How would you describe it?

I'm tempted to put it on my profile cause I do indeed identify as a male attracted to other men and I don't dress in drag (although Eddie Izzard and a history of rock and roll stars would object to this notion anyhow).

I'm not exactly beer belching and screaming at a TV when a team fumbles a ball while smacking the nearest person to me so I don't know if I have achieved masculine status. I do drink beer and enjoy sports when I get the chance to.

    What is the criteria?
Is there a scale from 1-10?

I noticed it's on a lot of profiles and just wondering if what I am picturing is accurate...

masculine an objective term. if you feel that it applies to then use it. i think when the guys here use it, they mean that they're stereotypical men who don't do drag, carry purses and probably can pass for straight if they want to. They are mainly talking about how you behave in public. can people tell you're gay or is it hard to tell?

In the context of being gay, the way the word "masculine" gets used it basically boils down to the likelihood of any random person looking at you and assuming you are gay. The lower the likelihood, the higher the masculine.

Thanks IamxxMyself and Larkin_PLR for the definitions.

I guess I can go ahead and put it on my profile. I have been told I'm not obvious but I am open about it if someone were to ask.
