Secret Codes and Battleships by Darren Hayes is out in October.

His previous album, This Delicate Things We've Made, was a conceptual masterpiece and Secret Codes - four years in the making - may just be the pop album of the year.

    What do you think?

Adele - 21 if only for "One and Only," "Set Fire to the Rain," and "Rolling in the Deep" (no matter how overplayed RITD is, it's a classic)

Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More is legit too

I think closer is right Adele should get it and I would add to that list "Rumor has it" and "turning tables" incredible songs.

If Adele wasn't in the running I would also give Nikki Minaj a nod.

From a mainstream perspective, it's gotta be Adele. Not really my kinda music, but she's definitely talented

My pick though is Cut Copy...

Hayes is typical pop. Nothing really special.

as far as the grammy album of the year I will be shocked if its not Adele. I expect her to clean up. Rollin in the deep will probably get record of the year, but not song.
