Are ATP tennis players overworked? Is the season too long?

It just so happens that two players I don't like very much (Murray and Nadal) are carrying the banner for shortening the season. In my humble opinion I believe they have a point. I don't know of any other sport which has the kind of season that tennis has....which basically is all year round.

Here is an article which labels the top players as "whiners".

So what do you think? Do the players have a point or are they just plain spoiled?

No it does screw up other players who are not as highly ranked as Murray or Nadal.

And as much as Novak wanted to get Serbia further, he had to pull out because of the aggravating back muscle problems. Davis Cup is important, but I think it should be places around the 4 majors and tune ups before each. Or the countries should have more up and comers. The top 4 in the world are not be all-end all players. They have bodies that need to recover.
