I don't understand the issue. People who aren't fom the States don't count because they're not Latin, and people who aren't Caucasian don't count because they're from the States? Obviously, it's not racism, as there have been many Men of the Day of all ethnicities, and it's not xenophobia, because there have been Men of the Day from other countries. Obviously, the vast majority of members are from the States, so proportionally, there is bound to be a preponderance of American Men of the Day.

Is your issue that they didn't pick you?

The point is...jms84 is Canadian, I'm from the states but not exactly caucasian, and Colm and Caslon have good points -- proportionally, many of the men here do seem to be from the states. I usually don't pay attention to where guys are from, so I can't hazard a guess as to what proportion that is, but it's safe to assume it's fairly high.

To paraphrase Pres. Clinton, depends on what meaning of "from" is.

Do you mean "from" as in they live in a Third World country right now, or "from" as in they were born in a Third World country no matter where they live in the world now...including in the United States (to my point, are you disqualifying the 12 million Mexicans because they live in the US now.?)

Well, then it can't be racism, if the Mexicans in the US are not discriminated against. It would have to be "Regionalism." You are claiming that the Admin discriminates against regions of the world, but not the people who come from those regions. That seems like an odd form of discrimination to me...against the locale but not the people from that locale. Hmmmmm... icon_rolleyes.gif
