"Is My Son Gay?" is the latest app to hit the android market.

The controversial app has a rather simple premise - through a series of 20 questions the app claims it can determine whether the survey-taker's offspring is a homosexual.

Questions include whether or not the user's son "likes to dress up nicely" or "pays close attention to his outfits and brand names," whether he likes football or team sports or prefers musical comedies.

It also suggests that if the user's son is "shy and quiet," he may be gay.

The app even asks the user if, before their son was born, they hoped for a girl.

If the app finds your son is straight it tells the user "You do not have to worry you, your son is not gay. So there are chances for you to be grandmother with all the joys it brings." If it determines that he's gay, it says, "No need to look the other way! ... He is gay! ... ACCEPT IT! ..."

The NZ $3.44 app has provoked controversy in the US.

Gay-friendly Instinct Magazine said that the app is based on the "science of tired and offensive stereotypes".

Haha ridiculous questions...but maybe everyone here should answer them as their parents would have. Then we can see if we notice any patterns. icon_lol.gif They might actually be onto something very scientific! icon_eek.gif
