ArticleThe fluffy white mascot, adorned with colored sprinkles atop a brown waffle cone torso, has been fired, but it may be too late. Monday, only employees were in the store.

Why was he fired? He was a mascot...

    That story makes no sense.

They should have made the costume chocolate-vanilla swirl to clear up any confusion. That's my favorite flavor, two commingled into one great fantasy.

I remember a TV ad in the 1960s or 70s for a cleaning detergent and they used the line, "Ancient Chinese secret." Didn't think about it at the time but it added to the collective racism - Mickey Rooney playing the over-the-top Asian man upstairs from Holly Golightly in movie Breakfast at Tiffany's is another - we all had at the time.

I'm not talking about honest humour.

Haha well, there is some truth to it in Spain! Filipinos were a large immigrant group during the '70s and '80s. Many small business like nail salons, dry cleaners, tailors, hair salons, and other shops were owned and ran by Filipinos. Then the Chinese started flocking over to Spain during the '90s to give Filipinos competition.

Have to add that these Spaniards have way better sheets than the KKK variety. Think there are any gay priests under those table cloths?...
