I had a lot of barbie sets when I was young. My aunt still teases me on that.

I ripped off the heads of my sister's dolls, but was fascinated with braiding their hair once ripped off.

I loved my Pelé(soccer player) G.I. Joe, Red Power Ranger & Batman "dolls" more though. Guess I know why...

Asked and got one when I was about 4 or 5. It was the one with a foam skirt that you could spray bubbles onto for decoration.

My poor mother. I mean, brilliant she indulged my wishes. I just think she should have known then that I might have been gay... ;)

Barbies were my favourite toys. Luckily my cousins had all types. Oh, the fabulous wardrobe! There were only two scenarios, though... Either Barbie was getting ready for a date and getting dressed as slutty as possible, or else she was competing in (and winning) a beauty pageant. Of course all the Barbies were competing against each other, but mine was the most beautiful and talented, and always won. icon_biggrin.gif

I finally got a G.I. Joe when I was ~ 8 y.o. Also had some accessories. Eventually it was taken away from me. I won't forget...

I had two sisters, living on a street with only girls. If I ever wanted to play...I had to play with Barbie dolls.
Nobody liked my cheap cyborg guy to go on a date with him. :c

My GI Joes would occasionally kidnap my sister's Barbies, and violent mayhem would ensue, often involving Tonka trucks and firecrackers. But war is hell, you know? icon_lol.gif

My cousins and other relations my age were all girls. Theyd have me be Ken when we were playing together, but Ken had super powers and could fly and breathe in space.

I remember nailing them to our playhouse in the backyard and then melting away their hair and faces. Afterwards we would rip their heads off.

So, technically, yes. I played with Barbies. No wonder I'm gay!

I had both a Barbie and a Ken doll. Ken was my favorite. Oh, wait a sec, no. G.I. Joe was my fav.

Anyway I was heart broken when my Mom took both Barbie and Ken to use on top of a home made wedding cake. I had to say good bye and never got them back. I was so pissed when that couple got a divorce years later. All that for nothing!!

For years as a child G.I. Joe dolls were my favorite toys. I didn't really dress them up. I liked to play with them naked (the dolls). Don't know why, but I also liked to rub the 'life-like' hair on my chin and face.

PurlJean would often snatch a wandering Barbie, take her under the bed, and chew off a head, and hand, and at least one leg...icon_eek.gif

G.I. Joe is not a doll, he's a "posable action figure!"
I always liked the joint between his leg and his trunk, and eventually discovered on real men too! What is that line called, Orion's belt or something?

Nope, but I actually remembered playing with those toy kitchen sets, complete with a stove and an oven, in kindergarten. The girls would use them during playtime, while the boys pretended to be soldiers. I, of course, did the former. Go figure icon_eek.gif

I had an older sister who convinced me to spend my birthday money from when I was 6 on Golden Dreams Barbie. She wore a gold gown, with a gold cape, and gold wire in her hair so you could curl it. She was the epitome of glamor in 1982!

Then, my brother, who bought a pocket knife with his birthday money, sliced Golden Dreams' nose off and slit her mouth. If you squeezed her checks, her mouth would open. Classy! I was devasted at first, but then, thanks to unsupervised viewings of DALLAS and DAYS OF OUR LIVES, I created stories of how Golden Dreams was involved in a horrible accident, thus leaving her disfigured.

    Good times!
