    Added Features:
    more transit and roadway features

different terrain and even an new island terrain

    mor building choices

and dont forget you can now modify and create your own stuff in the game too!

release date is around october 20.

I never played this game, but I was always interested in it. Does it have a different focus than Sim City 4?

Well, since Maxis/EA seems content to destroy their franchise with clown houses and haunted palaces... Yes, I'm very interested. I'd love to see an efficient city sim run on modern hardware!

cities xl is really more about the points you unlock by meeting realistic goals like:

    industry

    skilled workers

    housing

    roads

    and others.

Just rordered a new desktop with 2(two) HD Radeon 6850 graphics card in a crossfire so the game should not be so sluggish.

The new game does have higher graphics card requirements that the previous version.

Didn't think any RealJocker's would know of Cities XL, very cool.

Can't wait until it comes out, been waiting for SimCity 5 to get made but it looks like that will never happen.

I've got saved games from SC2000, SC3000 and SC4 that I still go back and play. Truly a fascinating way to waste an afternoon.

Man remember when Maxis made innovative games like that marble puzzle game? Now they just release a new version of the sims at full price with the SAME expansion packs a full price.

I was terrible at it because I was like 12 at the time
