My fave show that Allan Ball has done. Blows True Blood out of the water.

That show was one of my all time favorites except for the Sopranos. I loved the mother Ruth and Bettina (Kathy Bates) character was pretty crazy.

Brendas mother was also a train wreck.

I am just rewatching the show. I can't watch more than 3-4 episodes of it at once else I makes me depressed.

    Who's your favourite character?

I have all the boxsets, and my opinion is still that it's the best TV series of all time. Love all the characters in it.

An excellent show.As good as I`ve seen from US television.I loved the mix of tragedy, morbid humour, and eccentric characters; the beginning with the mini-drama of how they got their latest customer.
It was a more mainstream version of 'Twin Peaks'.

Yes it was emotionally gripping. I think it was very intelligently made.

I loved it when it first came out, but I thought it became very pretentious after the first season or two. I still watched it, but it was far from being one of the great TV dramas.

EDIT: You can rent the DVDs from Netflix or other rental place. I'd recommend renting it, not buying it, but that's just a personal opinion. I don't think there is any place to watch it online (legally).

    I really liked Brenda actually.

    Nate got on my nerves.

Claire for me. I liked her sarcasm and how behind it all, she loved her crazy family.

Least favorite was Nate...especially in the last couple seasons. He was such a self-involved prick. But even he had moments where he was somewhat likeable, even relatable.

Among secondary characters....I loved Brenda's Mom, Kathy Bates character, and Ruth's sister (Sara I think).

I went to kat.ph and downloaded the torrent files for all the seasons. I don't have cable or satellite and have to download shows that are on cable if I want to watch one. I had heard so much about it. After downloading season 1, I was hooked and downloaded the rest.

I think it was one of the best series.

i also think that Brenda was the most "normal" character on the series.

the actor that plays Nate is a hairy, visual treat...but the nate character is a self involved asshole, IMO.

to a certain degree i can identlify with the David character.

i bought the boxed set because i like it so much.

at least once per episode something happens that makes me wanna be in bed with my bf.

Me too. I kind of relate my high school experience to her (minus the toe slut experience). I found the Nate character not to be that of a prick but more confused in his journey. I also liked Brenda's mom.

Here's the final six minutes of the last episode. Don't watch if you want to enjoy the entire series.

Nate was one of my favorite characters ever of any show. I loved him. I didn't like David. He was far too whiny and persnickety. I loved Brenda. Best ending to a show EVER. I mourned when the show ended.
