Sounds like a conservative is just pissed because they don't have enough black votes. Some of the guys on this site tried to play a similar hand by suggesting gays have been brainwashed because of the perceived notion that most gays are Democrats/Liberals.

That method is not going to work.

Telling someone that they are brainwashed or a sheep is not the way to influence them to change positions. You are suggesting to that person that they are without independent thought. You really think you can appeal to someone's ego that way? Not giving someone credit for their decisions dehumanizes them. That won't win you any favors.

Telling modern days blacks that they have not yet left the plantation is perhaps the stupidest way to change their voting pattern, especially when you want to convince them to vote Republican, a party that notoriously cuts budgets and funds that disproportionately impact Blacks. All this slave language by Allen West, Herman Cain, and Pat Buchanan is not helping their cause.

The votes are out there. Maybe they should listen:

The blog was born of a frustration with blind party loyalty, over 40 years of mismanaged urban polices, and a Republican Party that seems to have forgotten about urban America. Our hope is that the Republican Party will create and launch an urban agenda that empowers people, not governmental institutions. We also believe that effective outreach—not to be confused with pandering— is the only way to grow our Party in communities where we are currently under-represented.

So now you understand how the republicans/conservatives here on RJ feel under the relentless attacks from the left? Not the way to make friends and influence folks.

Well I dont think Obama telling the congressional black caucus to "stop crying" did much for the black democrat vote.

You're right. Insulting someone is not a way to influence them and help reevaluate their stance on an issue. In fact, doing so may harden their position, not soften it up.

And of course, some of you guys aren't doing any favors by throwing out labels like "communist" and uploading pictures of a communist meeting. Even when you previously admitted you don't believe the President is one. Nobody but your own flock will take your childish name-calling serious. It's apparent some with conservative leanings have no interest in a civilized discourse.

I'll admit I do mock Southbeach from time to time and perhaps take him for granted by using him as a punching bag, but I think he knows it's not personal. If I've ever insulted anyone, I don't mean it. I have no hard feelings against anyone on the forum.

True, I think RJ has helped me move a few notches to the right.

I can't control what anyone else does, but personally I try real hard to avoid the childish ad hominem attacks against our political leaders of either party. I will stoop to sarcasm and will attack some of the attackers such a RLD with his relentless, almost every post, profanity laced attacks on those of the Christian faith, but never any condemnation of Islam.

We’re in real trouble as a nation and we must get beyond this kind of behavior and start working together a bit.

I hope I have never leveled the kind of attacks that you see routinely regarding Bush 43, Cheney, Gingrich, etc. I try real hard not to.

True, I disagree with Obama on many many issues, but support him on some others, but I like him personally. I strongly supported him regarding the help to Chrysler and GM and many conservatives strongly disagree with me. I strongly support him in that he’s basically carried on with the Bush/Cheney fight on terror. I give him big credit for getting Anwar al-Aulaqi yesterday, but also strongly support Bush/ Chaney for putting the apparatus in place to carry out these targeted attacks.
