Yes, I am trying to play on the movie title "gone in 60 seconds". And yes, I do seem to create a lot of God threads. We'll call this God thread 2.0 icon_biggrin.gif

Neale Donald Walsh (spelling?) asked what three words God would say if He were to come to earth for one minute. Would they be, "Believe in Jesus" or "don't wear leotards" or what?

Walsh believes they would be, "Tell the truth."

And then God would be gone.

Imagine, hey? Politicians would have to come out with it. Secretly gay homophobes would have to come out with it. The exposure of "might is right". The differences in salaries from one gender, race, etc. to the next in the same job would be known. Vices, virtues and skeletons would tumble out of countless closets. Every house would be a glass house and there would be no secrets. Telling the truth wouldn't simply mean refraining from lying; it would mean getting the meaningful secrets out. Not every thought and trivial thing, but everything you know in your conscience that other people have the right to know -- i.e., the "truth".

It would be chaos. Glorious chaos.

    Two questions.

a.) What do you think God's three words would be?

b.) Have you lived by them yourself?

    Be original. Be truthful.

    a) Love each other

    b) No I haven't abided by this in the past, but now that I'm older, my creed is love them all, but keep your distance from the toxic ones.

(keep the good posts coming, Skhokho!)
