Hi guys, I am doing a research paper for my business IT subject at uni. The topic I am working on is about Aussiebum's online store front model. I know quite some people here know about or have a pair or two Aussiebum. It would be utterly appreciated if you guys can help me out by answering couple of simple questions in regards to the brand's online store.

    Here goes the questions:
1.Where did you hear about the brand from?

2.Would you consider their website easy to navigate around? does it affect your decision to place an order?

3.What other features on their website do you use? do those features affect your decision on whether to place an order or not?

4.What gives you the confidence to buy something as personal as undies or swimwears online without physically feeling them?

5.What do you think of their facebook and twitter pages?

6.Lastly, does it encourage or discourage you to make a purchase when they had been available online only until not long ago? why?

Thanks in advance to those who help out. It would be even more appreciated if you guys could share your experience of shopping at Aussiebum. If anyone make it to Melbourne, Australia, drinks on me icon_smile.gif

    Answer:

    1. Heard the brand from International Jocks website. I actually bought my first pair on aussiebum website instead.

    2. Easy layout. Nothing fancy -- straight forward. Yes, it does promote the need to purchase the products.

    3. None

    4. Confidence? I know the company's design philosophy and sizing well. I know my own body type well -- which design cut fits or not fit on my own body or others.

    5. Don't care. My intention is to buy their product, not to socialize. I get email updates therefore FB and Twitter is redundant.

    6. I am happy I can purchase AB online directly from the company. Without online service, my days would be grey and sad.

    Cheers!

1.Where did you hear about the brand from?
    Real Jock
2.Would you consider their website easy to navigate around? does it affect your decision to place an order?
Yes. Simple layout. Well organized. Great pictures. It affects my decision only in that I was more impressed.
3.What other features on their website do you use? do those features affect your decision on whether to place an order or not?
    None but the measurement charts
4.What gives you the confidence to buy something as personal as undies or swimwears online without physically feeling them?
I use their measurement charts. I only buy boxers. They fit ok.
5.What do you think of their facebook and twitter pages?
    Don't use Facebook or Twitter.
6.Lastly, does it encourage or discourage you to make a purchase when they had been available online only until not long ago? why?
It does not affect me as long as the product continues to be listed online.

Oh I have loads of pairs of Aussiebums now, they are the main brand that I have.

1.Where did you hear about the brand from?

Can't remember now! It was probably an ad in a free gay magazine in London.

2.Would you consider their website easy to navigate around? does it affect your decision to place an order?

It's pretty easy to navigate but I have had issues with it when it seems to go quite slowly or crash - usually when there's a sale on!! It doesn't influence me placing orders though.

3.What other features on their website do you use? do those features affect your decision on whether to place an order or not?

Not sure what you mean by the features? I look at the photos and the videos, I'm not really aware of what else is there.

4.What gives you the confidence to buy something as personal as undies or swimwears online without physically feeling them?

You can't usually feel or try on underwear or swimwear in a shop anyway and you see enough photos of how they look to decide. I've bought enough now to know what I'm getting!

5.What do you think of their facebook and twitter pages?

Don't use twitter but the Facebook page is good, as it alerts you to new releases, special offers, plus hot pics :-)

6.Lastly, does it encourage or discourage you to make a purchase when they had been available online only until not long ago? why?

Don't really understand this question. I have always bought them online as they are cheaper than buying from the shops. So it's irrelevant to me.

1.Where did you hear about the brand from?

    Online ad

2.Would you consider their website easy to navigate around? does it affect your decision to place an order?

The design of the website is great. Easy to use.

3.What other features on their website do you use? do those features affect your decision on whether to place an order or not?

    Don't quite understand the question.

4.What gives you the confidence to buy something as personal as undies or swimwears online without physically feeling them?

Order one and hopefully it is the right size and then make more orders

5.What do you think of their facebook and twitter pages?

I like those ads on FB

6.Lastly, does it encourage or discourage you to make a purchase when they had been available online only until not long ago? why?

It depends on the style, I don't care whether the style is actually from two years ago.

    =============================

Now, my other comments about Aussiebum. I have to say that I do found all of the ads are very eye-catching which made me make most of the purchasing decisions.

However, after I have ordered nearly 10 of them, I feel like moving to other brands. I am not saying that the price isn't good, I am saying the design is bad, but comparing the quality/price, I think CK seems to be a better choice for me. Mostly I like the merterial they used to make CK undies, a bit more expensive comparing to Aussiebum, but much better quality.

I will still wear my Aussiebums from now and then, but only for fun. I will wear my CKs on any regular day. CK is more comfortable.

Good stuff guys, thanks for that.
Just to clarify question 3, other features mean videos or pictures, etc. the purpose is to find out if they keep you stay longer on their pages.

thanks mate for sharing, that's what I felt too, they are fun to wear, but not necessarily the comfiest undies in the world, and they are not that durable. so woud you consider that it is something else we are trying to buy pther than undies from Aussiebum, like an experience or a culture, something like that?

keep the responses coming please, thank you!!!
