I think the evidence indicates otherwise and since my own education is focused on degree of guilt based on evidence, I doubt is her conviction will be sustained..... but then it is Italy and their system if much different than our own.

I don't really know, but it does appear there does exist some DOUBT, and for that reason alone I think she should be let go and allowed to come back home. That being said, I do hope that she is closely watched, because if she is a killer, she could strike again.

indeed in Italy the system is quite different:
for instance it doesn't foreseen barbarian punishment as the death sentence

The family of the murder victim Meredith Kercher, Amanda Knox and her family.

From what I've read it all sounds rather suspicious on her part but the physical evidence is troubling. Of course, that is the best way to attack such an accusation.

No one will ever know what really happened there....

Didn't sound to me like the evidence would have passed the reasonable doubt sniff test in the USA. And, on the one hand, I can sympathize with the pain of the victim's family, but it creeps me out that they seem to only care that there's a warm body in a cold prison cell with no regard whether that warm body was actually responsible for the crime. Bad situation all around.

The chick is losing it! She's guilty no matter how much her "repeal" was bought for...convicted in a differnet legal system doesn't mean she's any less guilty. It was Italy...not Iran, China, Myanmar, or Uzbekistan!

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidHer family is now incredibly in financial debt because of all of this.

It's so awful how situations like this can completely wreck a family's financial resources.

I bet she's gonna get some lucrative deals to appear on shows (Oprah maybe, or maybe that pseudo-doc Doc. Phil) and wah-lah, the family is gonna be loaded with money. And It's likely she'll write a book, and again, money situation solved.

There already was a movie on Lifetime earlier this year. They rebroadcast it last night with a caption at the end saying she had now been freed.

Didnt follow the case at all. I barely remembered who she was when she got out. I have never even seen a picture of her.

    I dunno.

I find it interesting that they started to suspect her when they saw her doing cartwheels. Are cartwheels a surefire sign of a murderer? If so, they better call for backup, because there are a shitload of gymnasts, acrobats and seven year old girls out there who need to be brought to justice icon_lol.gif

Casey Anthony did it. Conrad Murray supplied the propofol.

I don't know. The evidence presented against her was mostly circumstantial & weak, and the DNA results faulty. This Italian prosecutor already has had his own legal & ethical problems, I believe, not sure why he continues in office.

It appears he now has a vendetta against Knox. But then this is the same Italian justice system that recently charged seismology scientists for failing to predict an earthquake. Make this another black eye for Italy.

Italy already has someone, Rudy Guede who knew Knox and her roomate gave testimony against here and is already convicted as part of the murder. The defense team seems to think Rudy is the sole murder.
