    That's what USA Today sez:

    http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2011/10/report-madonna-to-perform-at-super-bowl-halftime/1

This will require Madonna to ingratiate herself to sports fans, perform new material for the very first time live AND be in Indiana, all challenges.

Hopefully, she'll do a better job than those talentless hacks at the last halftime show.

This is awesome! She allegedly has a new CD coming out, so perhaps this will be great timing, as usual, for a Madonna release

Has a new album coming out with William Orbit producing for release in the spring.

Be excellent promotion for her and she has a lot of well known classics to choose from to wow the crowd.

She's always amazing live so it will be no problem for her.

Plus she can show all of those Gaga fans who troll her why she is still the top female artist of all time.

This will not happen. I just can't see it.

If Madonna performs at the Super Bowl, I'll post a video of myself dancing in a jock strap to Into the Groove.

I'm that sure it won't happen. She's negotiated this gig 3 times previous and backed out, one time at the last minute. It won't happen.

Yeah true but she seems very money hungry these days so i'm not so sure anymore, like I said, would fit in well with promotion for her new album.

If this happens it will be a sign that Guy Oseary has COMPLETELY taken over her career. She's always been money hungry, but above that she's a bit of a snob and would normally see the Super Bowl as something she shouldn't and wouldn't do. Nevermind that she's done some goofy things in the past...that Grammy opening with the cartoons comes to mind...but I just don't see this one panning out.

I met Guy Oseary at a concert I attended. He was nice enough but had the air of a typical salesman about him, purely money motivated.

Madonna would do well to find new management but it ain't gonna happen because they are tight as.

Exactly. I still say he's behind her getting into that Kaballah foolishness.

Considering how horrible and pandering her last album was, I think we're well beyond signs that she'll stoop to any level for money and fame. Though I am excited that she's working with William Orbit again for her first post-Warner Bros. album.

So what songs should she perform at the Super Bowl? I'm guessing "Music" will be on the setlist and probably something older like "Holiday" or "Express Yourself." I'd vote for "Ray of Light." Given the extra scrutiny over the Super Bowl halftime show (thank you, Janet Jackson) I don't see her doing anything with a whiff of controversy so "Like a Virgin" and "Erotica" probably won't make the cut.

Yeah, Hard Candy was a weird record. It had some great songs and some crap songs and came off like a big F U to Warner.

She may shy away from Music or Like a Prayer, which have been festival performance faves of hers in the past decade. It might be time to dust off the ones you mentioned - Holiday or Express Yourself. Hung Up would be a likely candidate...she LOVES playing the hard rock version of that. Might be time to whip out more 80s too...Lucky Star maybe. Open Your Heart. Who knows. Don't Tell Me would go over well with a Super Bowl audience too.

I'm looking forward to Runinthecity's Into the Groove video.

Remember to put some heart into your performance. Remember to dance like you mean it. And most importantly, remember to turn around so we get a glimpse of your rear.

Dates are being booked already, with leaked dates already seen for Australia, Paris and a couple of US arenas, according to various fan sites.
