Any tennis fans? Since Justine Henin's abrupt retirement, the womens field is wide open. Although I would say Serena, Ivanovic or Jankovic are the 3 faves. On the men's side it's probably gonna be Nadal winning it. Federer should make it to the final. Wouldn't be suprised to see Djokovic in the mix either.

At the risk of being slaughtered, I loathe Serena and her sister Penus. I've always thought of tennis as being a sport of finesse and power, not about who can cause a dent in the clay hitting the ball with their huge man-biceps smiley.gif

That said, I can never predict the outcome of women's tennis because the main powerhouse is always changing (that's why it's always more interesting).

As for the men, Federar has been a challenge to Nadal before so don't be so quick to say who wins it, but Djokovic might be the dark horse of the competition.

My favorite dark horse on the women's side is Safina. I'd love for her to win.

On the men's side, I'll root for Rafa.

For the men's side, I am going with Federer.I think he is going to do it this year. The women side is always hard to predict cause of injuries but I will go for either Kuznetsova or Dementieva.

I would love to see Fed win this year. Just kinda going by his loss to Nadal last week on clay in a really good 3 setter.

Since he hasnt won much this year and after losing to Nadal last week, I think he is determined. He is getting worried of his #1 ranking being taken.

I'd be psyched for Dementieva to win. I love her game and the weird barking noise she makes when she hits the ball.

Her serve obviously is a serious liability, but she is so fast to the ball that on nearly every shot she can take the offensive even when she should be way out of position and flailing.

I love Elena, She is great defender and returner. Her serve does suck but she's got variety in her game to make up for it.

Dementieva is hot too; I'd turn for her.

Hell of lot better than annoying Sharapova. I can't stomach her.

For the men - I'm rootin' 4 Djokovik.
The ladies - Ivanovic is my girl. I like Jankovic 2.

Men's Federer, but I also like Ginepri.

Ladies Sharapova, she might not be the most liked but the woman can play!!

Oh, no you didn't!!!! Serena's my girl! She's lost some major weight and looks amazing!

As for the men, my heart is with Federer, but my crotch is with Nadal.

yep and Nadal is going to continue the dismantling tomorrow!!!!

How many French Open titles will this be for Nadal?

Federer is going to get blasted on the clay similarly to how Big Brown got ran off the track by the other horses!!!!

I was pretty convinced Rafa would win but thought Fed would put up a much better fight conidering the sudden clay court coach he hired. It wasn't even close. Nadal blew him off the freakin court. After he broke Fed in the 2nd at 3 all it was cruise control to bagel him in the 3rd. Unbelievable stats. Fed only took 4 games and Rafa finishes with ELEVEN UFE's. AMAZING. He owns clay!

Womens side was boring. Safina couldn't pull a comeback late in the second.

Wimbledon I'm looking for Nole to win to add to his Australian win. Would be great to see Nadal take it but that also depends on the draw. I think Fed has finally hit that stage where intimidation just based on his name is no longer an issue. It was bound to happen. The men aren't afraid to actually beat him and feel they can now. Roddick "maybe?" but not holding breath. His game is predictable. I'm not counting him out by a long shot on grass. Fed either. He's owned it for quite some time. Another Venus win on the womens side would bore the hell out of me but it's her most comfortable surface. I think Sharapova is a fool for not playing a warmup to Wimby because if she could play like she did at the Australian she'd put up a real challenge. I think the two Serbs, the Williams, and Pova will be the ones to watch on the womens side. I don't think Safina will be much of a factor on grass but we shall see. If Davenport doesn't pull out she may factor.

i agree with you, but i think wimby is still fed's court... though the usual suspects of rafa, nole, roddick... on the womens side, i think williamses will go far, but not win.. davenport will not pull out... and vaidisova will get her groove back
