Upon the predate of it being released on DVD/BR - I wanted to ask: Who Enjoyed/liked/appreciate the new SCREAM 4? Personally, I thought it was a GREAT companion piece to Scream 1. & the plot was pretty genius in the way its very......hmmm.....relevant to our times is all I'll say. Twists & reasons I mean. I enjoyed it.

Plus, the blonde best friend horror geek Kirby (Hayden P.), she rocked & was one o' my FAV "Scream" franchise side-characters. icon_twisted.gif I'd love to have a horror obsessed sidekick of a friend like her by my side!

Honestly, I didn't like it. Seemed like a pale retread of the originals without much of anything new or exciting or interesting.

The thread prompted me to see it just now (I'd put it off and it reminded me). I liked it ultimately! Which surprised me because I didn't think I would through most of it but enjoyed the ending.

I enjoyed seeing the old cast again. That's what made it good for me and I think a few things happened that were unexpected and thrilling.

Guilty. I liked it. Actually I think it was the best one. Well maybe besides the first one. Definitely better than 2 and 3.

Loved it. If it was the 3rd and final movie, it would have capped off a perfect trilogy. Shame we have that awful Scream 3 tarnishing the franchise.

I really liked it except for one scene that got carried away with violence. I kept waiting for that scene to end, and just kept going, and going.

I liked it. But honestly, it wasn't that great or creative. It applied old tricks in a new context. The first one was so unique because it was self-aware, because it had the two killer twist, because it gave resurgence to the genre. This one didn't bring anything new.

HOWEVER, I DID like it and enjoy it, but that's because Scream is incredibly nostalgic for me as a child of the 90s, and I grew up LOVING the franchise. So, the movie could have been absolute shite and I would still sing praises simply because it's 'Scream.'

Now I want to watch it again... just because.

I liked it-- it was great the core three again, especially Neve campbell, Courtney cox was alright, except i wish she'd leave her face alone.

I hated the rest of the cast, mostly horror movie fodder of course, especially emma roberts. Hayden pettiere was great in it though.

I'm interested to rent the dvd because i heard there's an alternate ending.

I liked it overall - would probably give it a 7.5 out of 10. It wasn't exactly scary but it was a nice trip down memory lane.

The main problem for me was that there were too many new characters and not enough time to develop them. A good example was Sidney's aunt. She was related to the main character and her sister (sid's mother) was the one whose murder kind of started the whole thing off (if you remember scream 3), but I swear she only had about 3 lines in the whole movie. I'm not sure how we were supposed to care that she was killed by her own daughter when we didn't know anything about her.

The othet problem I had was how Courtney Cox looked - I had to do a double take on her first scene as I thought it was Janice Dickinson icon_eek.gif

She does look plastic but I think she still looks good, I read a while ago that some Janice Dickinson's fans (!!!) asked Courteney for an autograph thinking she was Janice and she threw a hissy fit icon_razz.gif

I really enjoyed it being a huge scream fan but I felt it could have done with some better editing and like someone else pointed out some more character development.

Also the ending, while a great commentary on today's teens, should have been executed in a much better fashion. It almost turns into one of those Roadrunner/Acme cartoons.

I did like the fact that they upped the gore factor and brought Kevin Williamson back to write the script. You could really tell Scream 3 suffered without him because the dialogue sucked.

Haven't seen it, but Scream 2 was probably the most fun I've ever had watching a horror movie (no, really).

I saw it at school followed by a Q&A with Wes Craven. I loved it, and i am surprised how it came out given all the problems with the script and shooting that they had. Cant wait for those DVD extras.

Scream 4 was awesome. If I were to rank them:
    Scream
    Scream 3
    Scream 4
    Scream 2
...which really means little since I like them all. I like 4 because it became 'serious' again. I think Scream and Scream 3 were the perfect blend of horror and comedy though.

I remember telling my parents I had a crush on Nev Campbell as a cover up for a long time. LOL

I like when he asks the question "what's your favorite scary movie" and Kirby starts naming off every horror film she can think of.

Nah - she wasn't just trying to save her life...she really loves horror flicks!

    Now die bitch.

I'll admit it wasn't better than the first 2. but the ending of Scary movie 4 was pretty good. I never would have guessed who the killer was. It could have been better but im satisfied with what i saw.
