Cain presented himself and his ideas very well. He's something fresh (we've heard that before). As a viewer I definitely would have got up and researched his "999" plan after watching that interview. It was going great until DADT and being gay came up and then...

You can have a hundred "attaboys" given to you... but ONE "aw shit" destroys all of them! < used to tell that to my troops for years.

What baffles me is that he obviously researched the tax code, economics, how to run a business etc.... but didn't try to research any of the existing research about being gay before blurting out his retarded view? Ironically, he asserts that 2/3rds of blacks are brainwashed and only believe what they want to believe.... haha... you just can't make this up.

Or even, 'show me the science that proves God's existence'. He is a devout Christian.

How do you make the leap, based on what he said, to homophobe?

"Still willing to vote for him?"

I'm still concerned that he's never held elected office. It's kinda of a big jump from Kansas Fed Reserve Board to president - bigger jump than I think I'd be willing to risk. "Willing" that's a tough question. As the VP candidate, I think yes. As president, that's real tough. He's not the liberal that Dick Cheney was on some issues, but like our current president, his views can evolve.

Well, go have a talk with him. I've gotten most of my Baptist friends, and one in particular I can think of, from choice to at least part nature, part nurture.

I'm probably going to vote form Obama unless Mitt Romney (most likely) or Ron Paul (my favorite choice, but very unlikely) get the GOP nomination.

Ron Paul is largely indifferent to LGBT issues, content to leave it to the states to sort the issues out for themselves, and Romney (despite pandering to the NOMmers by signing off on that pledge) I believe he will tack back toward the centre for the general election to win back the independents.

I see Romney trying to channel Reagan's "80% rule" to capture the northeastern liberal Republicans/RINOs and moderates after convincing the conservatives and tea partiers he will cater to their economic views.
