V LINES....i do pilates, swimming and a barrage of ab exercises. Are there certain exercises that help define them or are well defined V lines a case of genetics?

you talking about developing your upper back so you have a V-shape? Or those lower abdominal lines - whatchamacalit - "apollos belt?"

Leg lifts will work out your obliques and lowering your body fat % will help them show.

    Work your abs LESS.

Work your upper body, and back in particular, to bring up aesthetic lines.

Do cardio and a moderate to low glycemic index diet with adequate calories to get lean. Do not starve. 45 minutes every day. You'll get nice abs.

If you work your abs to much, they'll bulge, ruining your lines.
