Never knew what this meant until recently. Damn. lately it seems that I gain weight sooo much more easily! icon_sad.gif

What steps have you other "middle age" guys taken to deal with this. Looking for help!

Been trying Paleo for about two weeks now. Have to say I'm liking it a lot; definitely seeing marked increase in results. My scrubs look like a potato sack now (not that they didn't before, but more so. A giant blue potato sack...)

That really is the key -self disipline. I turn 50 TODAY and I have to say that since I started a transformation 4 yrs ago, DISIPLINE really is the key to everything. You just have to say NO to some things. I really don 't miss soda at all. And I don't miss french fries at all either. Moderation in everything else bad; concentrate on eating healthy.

I love my food, wine, good beer AND going to the gym. I keep my sanity by having small treats, it's a case of quality over quantity. A small sqare of fine dark chocolate over an entire bar of crappy milk chocolate. I do 8hrs 30mins a week burning 6800 calories at the gym, that's what my Polar FT80 has me doing right now.
