Vent away. LET IT ALL GO! Did they do one update too many? I know....just like Deborah Cox says "Things Just Ain't the Same".....

How about your "friends" and the way they post? This is the thread where you can complain about anything and everything FACEBOOK.

    I will start.

Why is it that so many feel the need to post inspirational quotes written by others? I mean, I don't mean to be a downer but ...really! It comes across (to me at least) that they think their sh^t don't stink.

So there you go. No right or wrong here.
Just feel free to say what is on your mind about Facebook and the people who have developed it, and those that are using it.

    Fire away!

What I like about facebook... a friend of mine posted this pic on my wall today:

    310125_10150326820044213_541699212_82025

It made me LOL. Some things change but you just learn your way around the changes and appreciate it for the fun that it is.

Seeing indiscrete posts about events I wasn't invited to and visitors who didn't look me up. Plus it was a colossal waste of time. I'd rather be entertained on RJ.

    I hate the "like" button

I hate it when people writing on walls instead of sending messages, especially lovers, like they want the whole world to know that they're fuckingly loving each others so much.

"All of us have thousand wishes. To be thinner, to be bigger, have more money, have a cool car, a day off, a new phone, to date the person of your dreams. A cancer patient only has one wish, to kick cancer's ass. I know that 97% of you won't post this as your status, but my friends will be the 3% that do. In honor of someone who died, or is fighting cancer, or even had cancer, post this for at least one hour."

People that feel the need to let me know every damn time they go to the gym usually people that don't know the first thing about fitness and just want attention.
Example: "Heading to the gym going to work on Bi's and Tri's hard today if I have time i might do some shoulders. Get on my Level!!!"

I do like hearing about progress updates, though.

Those are totally different, those are awesome. These people are the type of people that post things that are popular at the time to see how many likes they can get. They don't give 2 fucks about the gym they just want people to "like" it.

Totally! Or even worse is when they tag you in their status update so that what they have to say actually goes on YOUR profile. That bugs me to know end....I let a "friend" know that it wasn't a great thing to do and he hasn't talked to me since.

But I can do a total flip flop on facebook....on some days I think it is just dandy.

People who comment "TMI this isn't the place to share this information" every time I make a post about my HIV negative results.

I hate that chat and messages are now one and the same. icon_neutral.gif

I think of the chat as and instant messenger, where I don't really need to save the contents of the conversation for later. If I had something really important to say I would use the private messaging system.

It would be best if they had a separate history log for each.

I don't think that's bad per se. But it's pretty awful when people misquote someone, or blindly copy/paste quotes from other people's statuses without checking to see if it's legit.

As an experiment, update your status with a Hallmark card greeting, and quote it as something Gandhi said. Let's see how many of your friends Like it or copy it. icon_lol.gif

I HATE when there's that one person, no matter how close the relationship or the given situation, will ALWAYS like or comment on things as if they sit at their computer and refresh the page every 10 seconds hoping to find something new to like or comment on. I once had 5 notifications all from the same person liking and commenting on things on my wall.....that earned that person a delete.

...or when people misspell words in their statuses and immediately comment on their status "fixing" the word.....if you catch it soon enough, you can easily delete the post and re-post it with no spelling errors. Don't be the first person to comment on your status pointing out that you are an illiterate asshole and think you have solved anything....delete it, and re-post.

.........OR the people who like their own statuses.....that's like giving yourself a high five....just don't do it.

    *End of rant* icon_smile.gif

    1. the constant changes that fb is shoving down our throat.

    2. when friends like your statuses but don't comment on them.

Too many 'likes,' not enough comments on my posts

Chat and messages are now the same

Posters yammering about their boring, talentless, pudgy children

Guys flirting with you on IM who act like they're gay but won't come out and just say so

Post something worthwhile and significant, and it gets only a few comments...post something fairly lame and useless and it gets dozens of comments

Endless screeching about God, the eternal veracity of the Bible and giving your life to Jesus Christ (mostly from high school friends who I don't have the heart to delete, but gee whiz, that stuff gets old)
