    Mon- Chest/Calves/Abs
    Tues- Quads
    Wed- Arms/Abs
    Thur- Back/Hamstrings/Calves
    Fri- Shoulders/Traps
    Sat and Sun Off.

While searching for a routine that split up the quads and hamstrings I found this routine. Ive had some confusion about building routines from scratch for a while, as some things dont seem to add up. From my perspective if the upper back was worked right after an arm day, as arms lend a lot of support in rows and pull downs, the movements would lag from the strain of the previous day. Maybe I just dont know how to isolate the traps, rhomboids or lats without hitting the biceps hard.

Is there something that Im missing in tying everything together? Obviously theres hundreds of means to the ends, but it doesnt necessarily make devising routines any less confusing. Who can supply the fundamental information?

You. As you try different things, you'll eventually find out what your body responds best to. Then you can build your own routine(s) that fit your needs.
