The guy in K Rogers.....

I was at k rogers yesterday getting groceries...(sidenote: HOW IS IT I ALWAYS SPEND SO MUCH AT THE GROCERY!!! 187 DOLLARS ON TUNA, VEGGIES, AND MILK!!!!but on the plus side, i saved $7.01 with my KROGER PLUS CARD!!!:lolicon_smile.gif)....and i was checking out...via the "Do it yourself lanes...i love those, but that bitch can be annoying "PLEASE REMOVE ALL ITEMS FROM THE SCANNER SURFACE" or "PLEASE WAIT FOR AN ATTENDANT" (who is currently taking a restroom break)

but anyway, im scanning my items and this georgous guy walks by. mmm. not QUITE cameron gorgeus, but very close. then he looks at me. and i keep looking.

but something happens that has never happened before. when he looks up at me, and our eyes meet, everything else around him freezes and gets blurry. then the sounds fade away. i feel nothing, but i can feel my face move as i start smiling. he smiles too. whats going on??

then we both look away, i scan another item, then look back. so does he. we lock stares yet again and then we both look away.

i quickly finish and sign the $187 credit card receipt. then i go to the exit and just stand there with my cart waiting on mr muscles. (thats his name). i loose sight of him but i wasnt letting that keep me from standing and waiting, so i did.

then all of the sudden from the other side of me i hear "TYLER!!!!!!!!!". It was Maura...a sister of a cross country runner from back in the day.

let me say, i am NOT an asshole, but i would have rather ran into her at some OTHER TIME...but we talked and cathed up a little. i turn around and mr muscles is walking back, towards me, towards the exit. i try my very hardest to end the conversation, but I cant. Mr muscles walks past me, leaving with me only his memory and his cologne.

I watch him walk out into the sea of cars, and try to, while talking to Maura, pinpoint his. She then says, well better get home! She leaves.

Im running through the parking lot with my cart looking for him. Nothing. I pace the isles in my car before turning out of the parking lot, hoping to see him sitting in his car waiting for me. No. he left.

I had an idea. The clock was at 3:41, which means mr muscles and I saw each other around 3:30. My only hope would be to see him tomorrow at the same time, kind of an “unplanned, but planned date. Maybe if he was into me, he would assume I would be back tomorrow at the same time, just like I assume of him.

Well I cleaned my room all day today. Not sure why. But I look at the clock, and it read 3:37. SHIT. I jump in the car and fly to k rogers. Am I too late? WAIT FOR ME MR MUSCLES! IM COMING!!

I get there, but I find no mr muscles. I even hang out in the patio furniture section, you know, right by the magazines, and read. No mr muscles. FUCK. Exscues that. Im just thinking that when I saw him, and he saw me, everything stopped, and this feeling was, well, a true connection..

    Guys, am I loosing it????

You're not loosing it at all... It's a beautiful sexy story.

Just keep looking for that beautiful man. Do you have a business card with your picture on it? If so, maybe there is a community board there at the store that you can just post it on. Perhaps he will see your picture and swipe the card.

Otherwise, just try and make it there any day you can around 3. And for god's sake... Keep us posted.

I'm going to be completely shallow here and say I don't give a damn about your mental health. I just hope this turns into another soap opera! icon_biggrin.gif

well that would make a pretty good soap opera compared to some of the crap on TV right now.

Well, maybe this is just me, but...

Unless he works at Krogers, it's unlikely he'll be there at the same time on two consecutive days. I mean, it's a grocery store. How often do you naturally go the grocery store on two consecutive days, let alone at the same time?

Seems to me that that sort of thing works better at places you could see someone establishing a routine--a coffee shop, the gym, etc. But if you knew his routine at these places as well, you wouldn't need my advice on stalking him. ;)

    Good luck.

OMG you are so stalker potential!
All you need now is a snazzy new outfit with comfy shoes and a pretty thermos and your set!

But I gotta agree with ShawnTO

Did he look at you and smile on the way out of the store as he walked past? For having such the "encounter" while you were scanning items, I'd have thought the whole passing you at the exit would have been more eventful - even if you were chatting with a girl.

Also, I'm just curious, but why do you call Kroger, K Rogers?

Polo: Thanks, I am going to go back tomorrow to see about that board...but I dont recall one. And yes, of course I'll keep you guys posted!

Shawn: LOL I know I figured you guys would just look at Trocks797 and know whats coming...

JMS: Man, I feel kinda weird posting on there, especially after reading some of the stuff thats already on there, plus he didn't icon_sad.gif

BioNerd: The only reason I went back today is to see if he did because we didn't get to meet yesterday. I thought maybe he would go back just to see me. You know?

Tim: Haha man, yeah K Rogers is great for eye candy, believe it or not!

Tanker: HAHA I was scared someone would be like damn this kid is a sicko!

Halltd: See, my back was to him when he walked by. All i experienced was his cologne. He couldn't see my face and I couldn't see his. icon_sad.gif. And I don't know why i call it K Rogers, just for fun I guess lol.

K Rogers? I initially thought you switched from Wendy's Burgers to Kenny Rogers' Roasters! icon_lol.gif
Trocks, my friend, you live a lovely life. By far, the best encounters I've had are random ones. I'd let this one slip by, if I were you. Trust me, he'd appear again when you least expect it, so be always ready.
Lately when an eye contact develops to a conversation upon initial encounter, I ask immediately if he's into guys. Discreetly, politely and with a smile. Then while he thinks of an answer while he blushes, I would compliment him by saying, "I really think you're cute."
    Nothing to lose, really.
I mean what are the chances that this can be an Ally McBeal situation when she didn't realize that she was already snoggling a guy she just met who turns out to be Georgia's dad!?!
That's life: live it, learn it.
    I love you.

I once had a similar experience with a gorgeous man at my neighborhood Kroger...and didn't run into him again until 3 months later, at a different time, different night, etc. Grocery stores are tough - when interest sparks you gotta act fast.

    Trocks!

Well first let me say that I shop at Dillons, another Kroger store and I do have my Dillons card and it does help doesn't it? LOL

As far as the Mr. Muscles discussion, it would be nice to have a summer "opera" since the one at school is done. Tyler in another setting, it could be titled

"TYLER & MUSCLES TOGETHER AT K ROGERS"

My suggestion is to go again about the same time next week and the following week. I grocery shop once every two weeks.. not necessarily at the same time, but on the same day.

One other suggestion: How about a part time job at K Rogers?

What a cliffhanger! I'm sure this tale of the love that dare not speak it's name is going to end up in a lifelong marriage! It sure sounds like a conspiracy of two destinies to me.

And the theme song will be a 2008 version of "Torn Between Two Lovers (Loving Both Of You Is Breaking All The Rules)" icon_razz.gif
