    Comment #8:

In the wake of the Palestinian presentations at the UN for statehood, violence was predicted across the West Bank. These predictions have indeed eventuated, but the violence comes not from the disenfranchised Palestinians, but from Judeo-fascist settlers. Israelis should reacquaint themselves with Josephus' account of the fall of Jerusalem—and the role Jewish extremists played in bringing about that destruction.

It should also be noted that the American Media will rarely tell of this side of it coming from fanatic Settlers, but we will hear all about any retaliation from Palestinians for what these settlers have done to them . Then AIPAC and its Affiliates will get as much 'traction' and simpathy programs for donations for the poor Israeli's suffering at the hands of Palestinian terrorists. But again, not a damn word about what these settlers do daily to the Palestinians.

It's my understanding from reading Jewish sites ,that these Settlers were mad at the IDF over rumors that they would soon dismantle some illegal settler housing built on Occupied Territory. These Settlers believe this land belongs to Israel and do not recognize it as Occupied.

Did I miss any real Iraeli Police or IDF effort to stop the violent Settlers ? If they did try, I didn't see it.

I read to today that the Damn hypocite Netanyahu issued a public statement against Settler Violence and their 'Price Tag' attacks and recent vandalism, but will we read of his taking blame for this through his promotion of Settlements as attested to by approvals, adding around 6000 settlement units so far this year.

Netanyahu believes as do these violent settlers that all this land belongs to Israel because of the Bible story where Abraham and some 'prophets' promised it to the jews. These beliefs are the basis for the problems of Settlements, therefore fairness shown by what these settlers call the leftists are the enemy of the 'jewish state'

Can you imagine the number of Israeli Police and IDF would have been present had this been the palestinians hitting Settlers ? How man times we've seen these officials beat up the Palestinians when they try to protect themselves and their land, when Its Palestinians doing this, its terrorism, if its Israeli settlers, its merely 'vandalism' and not one of them extremist were arrested and charged. One reason for this is that from what I've read, there were offduty Israeli police involved in the violence.

AIPAC will keep this under wraps here in the US, but what what happens if a Palestinian hits back, if they get any video of it, Aipac and its affiliates will be all over the US news and the religious sites and TV using the video footage to ask for money to help protect the downtrodden abuse settlers. What hypocritical lies they tell.

By the way, we have here on RJ a very loud apologist and frequent poster I call LIL'AIPAC (Ceaserea4) who gives his full support and makes excuses for these Zionist Extremists and Netanyahu's adding Settlements which in the end, steals land from the homeland of the Palestinians and exacerbates the problems. This is why it is so important to get the facts out against the Zionist Extremists, because if the truth doesn't fight back with facts, then the LIL'AIPAC's lies will be all that is heard. AND NO THIS IS NOT ANTI SEMITIC.

Israeli Police and Television Journalists Again Face Violence From Extremist Israeli Jews

Israel city braces for thousands of protesters against exclusion of women

Haredim clashed with police officers, calling them Nazis, throughout Monday; at least six were arrested or detained for questioning.

    Latest update 00:28 27.12.11
By Yair Ettinger, Revital Blumenfeld, Oz Rosenberg and Ophir Bar-Zohar

More than 10,000 people are expected at a rally in Beit Shemesh on Monday to protest the exclusion of women as well as violence against girls and women by Haredi extremists. The rally will begin at 6 P.M., near the Orot Banot school.

The school's arguably most-famous student is Na'ama Margolese, the 8-year-old American immigrant who became a focal point after Channel 2 news broadcast a story Friday night showing her facing a daily gauntlet of abuse from Haredi extremists as she walks to school. The rally was originally slated to take place in the courtyard of the school, but the venue was changed after organizers said Haredi extremists had threatened violence unless the location were changed.

    ...

Meanwhile, violence continued in Beit Shemesh on Monday as Haredim clashed with police officers and attacked two television news crews. At least six people were arrested or detained for questioning.

    ...

On Monday morning, dozens of ultra-Orthodox men surrounded police officers and municipal inspectors who came to remove, for at least the third time this week, a sign on Hazon Ish Street, in the Haredi neighborhood Nahala Vemenuha, ordering men and women to use separate sidewalks. The men tried to prevent the sign's removal, calling the police officers "Nazis" and dancing around them in circles.

"Extremist Israeli Settlers Attack Israeli Soldiers (IDF) "

Extremists? Maybe... I don’t know what that word means yet. Who are they? A bunch of people standing up for what they believe in are extremists. And a country that has military presence in around 150 other sovereign nations with more than half a million troops across the globe, what are they? Extremists or just plain old aggressors?

Everybody has shit on their nose, and it is not because they were trying to smell the roses.

Our US Tax Dollars at work supporting the Israeli Police and Israeli Defense Forces keeping the peace in and around the Settlements. More money goes for tear gas canisters in these areas, but somehow they get used more if its against Palestinians protesting the Settlers ever expanding into their Palestinian Homeland. No canisters shot at close range into the Rabbi Yashiva school instigated Israeli youth groups making these attacks.

HMMMM !!! I wonder why FOX NEWS isn't carrying these true stories that are currently dominating the story pages of Haaretz News and other Jewish/Israeli News Sources ? Could be its an 'inconvenient truth' that the likes of the US Israeli Lobby AIPAC and our own LIL'AIPAC and dglater don't want to have an honest conversation about, because it exposes the Illegal Occupation/Settlement structure as the basis for these problems.

    boring

any religious extremists are sick whether its jews, muslims, christians. The only problem is that there is a huge percentage of extremists in Muslim world. Israel's population is more secular anyway than religious.

If only the secular Jewish Iraeli population could be the heads of state, then Israel would more than likely be living in peace next to a peaceful and independent Palestine. Its the bible story religious followers leading Israel who are the problem in trying to recreate a Zionist 'greater israel' against the rights of the Palestinians , not its secular Jewish population. Because of religion this conflict is a western problem too. Take al the religious extremism out of the picture and there would be peace.

Good point... the Israelis and the Palestinians both can live in peace together than any other Arab neighbors. The only problem is the Israeli gov goal is to have jewish majority. Palestinians are only Arabic speaking people in the mddle east and the rest of the arab world can speak Hebrew and share economy or money with Isreal. It is the political corruption and extremist on both sides can't really see the real picture that Palestinians and Israelis ar really close.

Pouncer saidAnd they wonder why the latest talks again end in utter failure?

Israel approves 300 new illegal settler units
    http://www.maannews.net/eng/ViewDetails.aspx?ID=449810
TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- An Israeli ministry on Tuesday issued tenders to build 300 new homes in Jewish only settlements in the occupied West Bank, Israeli media reported.

The Housing Ministry and Israel Lands Administration published the call to build 47 units in Pisgat Zeev, and 247 in Har Homa, both adjacent to East Jerusalem, after announcing their plans two weeks ago, Israeli daily Haaretz said.

Israeli advocacy group Ir Amin slammed the timing of the announcement. "By releasing the tender at this time, Israel is slapping the face of [Jordanian] King Abdullah and the entire international community, morbidly injuring the already low chances of peace talks to be renewed," the group said according to the report.

Palestinian and Israeli envoys are meeting in Jordan on Tuesday at the invitation of the international Quartet, and hosted by the Jordanian government.

Actually Netanyahu's LIKUD's may be doing we pro palestinians a big favor, because they aren't hiding their real plans and motives, they are successfully pissing off the international community who now all but very few see where the Palestinians are coming from.

In Addition to that these LIKUD far righters are boxing the US Foreign Policy in a such a corner and Isolating the US to such an extent that they may be biting off the hand that feeds them. Look at the last Security Council Vote against Israel where the US stood alone in support of Israels anti democratic actions. This cannot last forever.

The Palestinians winning card is peacefull diplomacy through the UN and other international Organization. Palesinians under Abbas are now seen as the reasonable party. Now Gaza under Hamas will have to join in peaceful protest.

I fear Israel does not believe in a two-state solution, but rather the one-state-Greater Israel-taking Palestinian/West Bank land in small pieces over the years to come, continuing to build illegal settlements, and refusing to negotiate, until they have the remaining twenty two percent of the 1948 Palestine.

It is sad to see the UN and the world standing by apparently helpless and watching this happen....

Much of the western media have difficulty accepting that Israel, a democracy, could be doing anything wrong. They talk a lot of Iran not obeying the UN, but have something of a blindspot over Israel; a great deal of criticism of Russia and China vetoing a UN resolution over Syria, but little to say about the US doing similarly over Israel.

It is hard to see any peace in this area given such intransigence....
