    I've been lurking for a while and did not see much on this topic. I was considering using an online food journal to help me track my food intake. Are there any sites that have worked for any of you? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

    Bodyforlife.com has some stuff you might be interested in for. I printed some blank sheets as well as some sample meal journals. Hope this helps

    fitday.com its a free site, does the job, and works well. You can also make your log publicly available to anyone that has a link. This can be an excellent way to get advice from trainers, and others. The software that can be downloaded to the desktop from Fitday.com is really pretty outstanding, I think it's well worth it and has tons more features then the free web account. That being said the free web account does everything you need it to including tracking activities.

    in addition to fit day. I found a program called CRONoMeter that MunchingZombie suggested.
    CRONoMeter is a program that runs local on your computer, it's windows, mac, and linux friendly. and it's a free download.
    But it doesn't have activity tracking (how many calories you burned by running for an hour today) like fitday, only food intake.

    So depends on if you need activity tracking, and either want to work on the web, or store everything on your computer.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to check them out. Although I know that no tool by itself will keep me on track, I am hoping that recording what I eat will make me think twice before deviating from my meal plan.
