Going to LV at the end of Oct. for a educational conference. I will be there for Halloween, but no plans as of yet. Any suggestions?

If you've got the money, I suggest going to see a show. Personally, The "O" Show over at Bellagio was absolutely mind blowing. I want to go back and see it again eventually.

Also, be sure to catch the water shows outside Bellagio cause they're free and really cool.

What would you like to do out there? What are your plans after your conference breaks up?

I'm in the travel industry and sell Las Vegas over and over. Let me know and I'll give you some suggestions.

    I'm going over Halloween too. The 27 - 31.

See La Reve if you have 1 show to see. It's better than O in my opinion. I've seen O a few times and it's changed...not nearly what it was. La Reve takes all that was great with O and mashes it with other fantastic Cirque-like acts and puts 20 hot men and 20 hot women in hot outfits and let's them dazzle the crowd.

Email me if you want more suggestions. I've been to Vegas more times than I can count since I turned 21.

There a TON of things to do. I agree with the guy above me, you should see Le Rève. It was amazing and able to be watched over and over. I'm not 21 yet so I can't exactly give club suggestions, but I hear Krave is pretty wild!

I will be heading to Vegas next week for an education conference as well and was wondering what I should do. I will have to keep my eye on this thread to get some pointers.

O was pretty spectacular when I saw it back in November 2009 but can't say how it might have changed. I've heard great things about La Rev - definitely on my to do list when I go back.

As far as clubs, I have to say I was underwhelmed by Krave and the other gay bars and clubs. I've heard it's more fun to go to mixed nights at the clubs located in the resorts.

    Have fun!

I'm going with some str8 colleagues, who are a lot of fun. But, I think I might ditch them to hit some clubs. Thanks for all the suggestions. I was thinking of O (I have seen 4 cirque performances and I hear this is the best one to see) but I will look into Reve.
Krave I have heard of too, but I am wondering if Halloween will be NUTS.

There is ALWAYS something to do. Shows are great. O, Le Reve, Love, and Zumanity are some of my favorites.

Clubs are everywhere. If you want a typical Las Vegas nightclub, go check out Marquee- one of, if not, thee best.
Krave is the "straight-friendly gay club". All kinds come here, it's always a wild party, very popular with locals and travelers alike, and it's right on the strip. I've been here twice and for someone who doesn't like clubs, it was pretty fun, people are friendly.

Off the strip, as far as gay clubs go (I have never been to any of them, I don't generally like gay clubs): Piranah- 8 1/2 is popular, as far as I have heard, but about a mile off the strip.

If you like a mellow, low-key gay bar, check out Funhog Ranch. It's a leather daddy bar, but kinda like a regular hole in the wall, that happens to be geared towards gay guys. About a half mile off the strip. Cheap drinks, video poker, every once in a while, they'll have something fun going on.

Check out www.gayvegas.com or www.Qvegas.com for all the gay hotspots, entertainment and news in Las Vegas.

Have fun, play safe, don't get your heart broken.

Don't gamble too much! There are tons of things to do there though. I was there the past two weekends.

Get a players card if you gamble though so you can take advantage of comps and you get some pretty great offers to come back. (Free rooms, etc.)

It astonishes me how expensive some of these rooms are to stay in. Vegas is great, but I would never spend 250 a night to stay at like New York, New York on the weekend which is my favorite hotel there.
