Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher aka Joe the Plumber will be running for Ohio's 9th district.

The area has been redistricted, forcing incumbent Democratic representatives Marcy Kaptur and Dennis Kucinich to compete against one another in the Democratic primary. Nevertheless the redistricted area heavily leans to the left, giving either of the Democratic representatives a strong chance of winning the general election.

Even though I don't agree with him politically, he is right about one thing (the exception being the un-American part). Here is an excerpt from an interview:

Wurzelbacher also told the room to lay off the extreme personal attacks on President Obama. He said people who question whether Obama was born in the United States or compare him to Hitler “belittle and set back” the conservative movement. “The birthers, the truthers — if people are trying to bunch them [with tea partiers], that would kill us. That just pushes away Democrats and independents who might come out for our cause otherwise.” He said he actually likes Obama, in some ways. “I think his ideology is un-American, but he’s one of the more honest politicians. At least he told us what he wanted to do.”

    "un-American"

As in, anyone who disagrees with my opinion, is "un-American."
    Roll my eyes.
The Republicans and Teabaggers get a lot of mileage out of that one.

Apparently Joe the Plumber is still in demand. According to him, in 2010 he has had 200 politicians ask for his support. Though he officially backed only 5.

    And then there's this

Chris Maloney, spokesman for the Ohio Republican Party, said a candidate like Mr. Wurzelbacher would have strong fund-raising capabilities thanks to national recognition he received during the 2008 presidential campaign

I'm glad to hear he isn't one of those birthers and that he discourages likening President Obama to Hitler. So he has some sensibility, though that un-American remark sticks out like a sore thumb.

    But that was yesterday.
Yesterday does not exist any more, so it never did except how he says it was, and anyone who challenges that is un-American.

    That is the right-wing constant.

we see it on RJ from the conservatives with the sole possible exception of CAZ.
