I feel so stupid

I was texting a manager from a club (as per his suggestions) and never got his responses. After assuming he was just being elusive after days or not reply back to me I texted to him: "Ok I'm just assuming you never texted me back now. Just remove my profile from your file thanks." Then he sent me a reply with a picture of his replies.

Of course a few hours later another manager asked me to come in for an interview with the general manager. I'm not sure if I'll get hired now since I erroneously accused the other manager of not sending me a response. Should I go in for the interview anyway and apologize if I meet up with him?

I've never felt so dumb and wrong for texting that to him. Of all the people that purposefully never reply to me because they want me to "get the hint" and go away, I try to call someone out on it and it happens to be AT&Ts fault.

    Anyway, BURN IN HELL AT&T!

p.s. I just wanted to vent. Just let the thread die.

You should still go. Put your best foot forward. Because the worst thing that can happen is they say no, and you will learn something of value from this experience. You will also (hopefully) have sharpened your interview skills. If they ask, just be honest with your answers and tell them that the network screwed up, which is the truth.

Not going is not trying, and if you don't try, you don't have a chance. The only place that it can go from here is up! Good luck! I hope you get it cuz I would like to see more of you icon_wink.gif

In the land of Looking For A Job you should never, ever reply to a potential employer or someone with whom you applied with anything that could ever be misconstrued as snarkiness, impatience, sarcasm, or anything that isn't the highest gratitude and humility for having been interviewed. Even if the guy outright says "I hate you and will never hire you".

Things get around. You can potentially burn a shitload of bridges you didn't even know were involved.

Poor guy. It's an honest mistake.

Go to the interview and wait and see.

    Pretty much.

If you don't show, it'll make you look worse than if you own up to your fuckup.

AMoonHawk said Just tell them that you wanted to cross them off your list of possibles.

Doesn't bode too well to go to an interview and tell them you had previously concluded you ultimately didn't see yourself working for them.

I'm just going to say I erroneously assumed I was kindly rejected by being ignored, as has happened to me in the past. But this time it was AT&T's fault for the lack of communication. If they don't want to hire me because of this then that's fine. I have to come clean and be honest about everything though.

That's the best way. "Unfortunately I did not receive your response and just wanted to make sure you had made your decision in regards to the possibility of a job offer."

    Well....

This will surprise all of you as it surprised me.

The manager doesn't think I did anything wrong and in fact remembers me as a hot guy who is sociable. All of the managers seem to agree. I got the job and I'm working almost every day.

In a similar bizarre story I yelled at my roommate and slammed the door, and as a result he lowered my rent. I wasn't even asking for it.

Strange how I sometimes I act retarded and my behavior is rewarded.icon_confused.gif
