A trivial topic I know, but I'm curious as to what people think. I have always been against junk food but I seem to fall prey to the temptations of In & Out. Some of people dont concider it junk food but some do.

In all honesty this topic is just to help myself not feel guilty for going and getting some amazing burgers tonight. I'm sorry eight pack, looks like your going back down to a six, or maybe a four. We'll see how many I order.

Completely didn't mean to give off an "oh my god I'm such a fatass I hate myself" feel to this thread. I just was thinking on In & Out and wanted to know if guys who like to stay in shape indulge in the deligiousness that is animal fries.

I don't feel bad about eating In N Out. The quality of their food is so much better than that of other fast food joints.

Ahh it was so good. Double-Double animal/protien style with a vanilla shake. Worth the 30 min drive. icon_biggrin.gif

Order all that and then get a Vanilla shake? Why would you tease us so?

Everyone knows the Neapolitan is the way to go!

And if you truly want to get fat...try the In & Out Vegas Challenge.

A double/double n 2 beers at every In & Out in Vegas in 6 hours.

I still can't believe how many guys think that "In and Out" is fit to eat.

In San Francisco, there are 2 places in the Castro that serve excellent burgers: "Sliders" and "Orphan Andy's." My preference is "Sliders."

    I eat it frequently.

But I'm one of those freaks that can and does eat anything he wants and not have it show.

I do wish we had the In 'N Out in Florida, with lots and lots of Orlando locations. I had my first (second, third, on and on...) double double when I was in LA many years ago. So yummy! Nothing compares!

I think the novelty and rarity of In-N-Out is what makes it so special. I am already looking forward to my summer in Dallas where I will prob have In-N-Out multiple times a week.

oh god i love really trashy food but I find animal-style fries so disgusting! D: i ordered it once as a joke, not thinking it was an actual menu item, and couldn't finish even half of it (I'm really OCD about always finishing my food so this was a big deal). just thinking about it makes me vomit a little in my mouth...

Stay away from in and out unless you haven't had a burger in 2 weeks or more. It is pure junk food but yes it is good.

I just don't get the hype surrounding it. Animal style/2x4 = make unhealthy fast food even more unhealthy, but in a clever West coast tragically hip/ironic way even when you have not been drinking heavily?

I won't deny I have tried it. But I never went back, even when intoxicated. Like a dignified drunk I want tex-mex when I am schwasted - not a burger and fries.

Really? You're 18, high metabolism, in shape and you're worried about eating a burger! Seriously? No, when you hit 50, then repost it and tell us if you really think it's the end of the world to enjoy a meal out! Geeeeeez, trivial is an understatement on this one!

while i do love going to in-n-out once in a while for the iconic value, I honestly don't get the hype either. and as a native californian that's kind of sacrilegious to say, haha. i admire their whole "use fresh ingredients" spiel but their burgers really aren't THAT amazing compared to other places...

I have to admit...I'll be interviewing for positions on the west coast in a few months and this is one of the things I'm most excited about. I'm tempted to try the old "order one of everything off the secret menu" challenge throughout my 2 or 3 weeks there..
