The movement is now starting in Atlantic Canada, with an Occupy PEI event in the Province House square on Saturday, Oct 15.
I will be going to that instead of our party's post-election discussion. In my place, my campaign manager will attend that, while I go to the Occupation.
I will report my observations of how it manifests itself in our rather different microcosmic economy in relation to the mainland.
My initial reaction is the US movement is voicing dissatisfaction with corporatism, and its overarching control ofthe political apparatus, while here it is an expression of dissatisfaction focussed on social inequities.
I am going to hear those concerns about social inequity.
