I've always been into certain classic cars. I attend Concours d' Elegance (car shows) in Pebble Beach, Hillsborough, Palo Alto & Silverado most years. Favorites: Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II; Mercedes 450SL; Jaguar Vanden Plas; Mercedes 420SEL; Lincoln Mark III; Pontiac GTO; Pontiac Grand Prix; Oldsmobile 442.

In the future, I'd like to find a 37 Packard, or a 1930 Cord, or a Pierce Arrow from the 20's - among others. My ultimate goal would be to have a small group of cars in a closed garage - with a mechanic on hand to keep them all in top shape.

BTW I am way into production cars for the road. But not into the racing thing. Can you believe it? Grew up in Georgia and not into NASCAR!

Yeah, the 'car of the future' crap ruined NASCAR - that will have to change - maybe a bit more like the American Lemans Series where its production based.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Le_Mans_Series

Or as I posted in the thread I started yesterday

    http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/1877247

    the Aussie V8 Supercar series

    These were the NASCAR days

Are you in Freewheelers or Great Autos? I've been to Monterey week 23 times.

It's been a while since I've done a show - like since Sunday.

The silver 63 GP is me.

The bad weather will be here soon so if it's nice Sunday, I'll take the old beast to National Trails and do some drag racing.

    Very cool.

I think it’s an old age thing with me and caused by multiple mid life crisis. Ya love what you grew up with and since I’m really that old, this is it.

    That's my ivory / tri tone blue 389 - 348 tri-power, 4 speed, 61 bubble top

    And West Coast Meet

    Dream Cruise

Good way to waste a Saturday. The apron joke was about my friend who got a SRT 8 Chally and gave his wife the hand me down G8 GT to race. She kept beating him so the joke was - loser cooks dinner - he cooked - every time. And that's my dark red G8. Yes, of course I race it - can't have a Pontiac if you don't race.

Yeah, resize no larger than 800 x 600 and they will fit. I assume you're using Photobucket? Go the 'edit' below the pics and then resize and 'save a copy' if you don't want to overwrite the original size.

    BCmasc1 saidI just resized it..thanks

The problem with 'save a copy' is trying to identify which one is the small one in photobucket when you want to post here. There's also a html code you can insert to resize in realjock, but I still can't find it.

I am the only mechanically abled person in my group of friends.

I have also had this odd fascination with car crashes and have done claims for the past several years as a Claim Adjuster. In a past life I worked for Nissan and VW/Audi at their desert proving grounds which I loved.

Just about all of mine are, but some are getting too old to do much of it anymore.

They line up around the block for me to do basic maintanance or change a tire.
