Don't representatives for Congress swear an oath of some type? And if they can't perform the oath shouldn't they resign?

    http://dailycaller.com/2011/10/12/jackson-obama-should-declare-a-national-emergency-add-jobs-with-extra-constitutional-action/

Illinois Democratic Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. told The Daily Caller on Wednesday that congressional opposition to the American Jobs Act is akin to the Confederate “states in rebellion.”

Jackson called for full government employment of the 15 million unemployed and said that Obama should “declare a national emergency” and take “extra-constitutional” action “administratively” — without the approval of Congress — to tackle unemployment.

“I hope the president continues to exercise extraordinary constitutional means, based on the history of Congresses that have been in rebellion in the past,” Jackson said. “He’s looking administratively for ways to advance the causes of the American people, because this Congress is completely dysfunctional.”

Not sure where you're getting that from but what of the plank being proposed now for the Democrats: "We had to kill the constitution to add more stimulus"?

Republican jobs plan is to reduce regulations that are strangling the economy. Don't need a bill for that, just a new administration.

You want gar bar real estate? Got one for you right here in Columbus. It's a multi tenant building and it has a club named Havana in it. The only problem is that it's right next to a UDF.

That's 90% of the problem. Government - GET OUT OF THE WAY. We'll do it - yes- the private sector can take care of it just fine.

It tanked for other reasons, including the housing bubble. The regs are killing jobs today.

Hold it right there SoCal. There you go again trying to wave your magic wand of reducing regulation, then all at once your fully expecting the 'job creators' to start creating those jobs in spite of the public not having money to spend. Because they are jobless, therefore according to your repub/TBagger talking points, job creators will be hiring to make goods and services without the orders to back the production. YES-SIR-EEE that'l work !!! Only in republican rhetoric dreams buddy, only in dreams !!!

Who are you trying to kid ? everyone knows that it takes orders/demand before hiring and production increases.

Do repubs/TBaggers think the public are stupid enough not to put together the relationship between lack of jobs for the masses and lack of orders/Demand to spur hiring and production ? Are your leaders so stupid as to think that they can sell the talking point that all at once the regulations caused the layoffs/joblessness ? Who the hell with any brains will buy into that lie? Your people better come up with a better talking point because this one is falling flat !!

This came up before and I tried to explain, but no one responded so I let it go. Well one more time. But first, the business owner I did talk with had the business to expand but was not going to because of the regulations and other known costs associated with the new health care law. But back to your point...

In addition to regulations, the other obvious inhibitor to growth is limited demand, as you pointed out. The limited demand results from the economic conditions, including the unemployment rate.

What I tried to explain before is recovery is an iterative process. We start with small bites first. Let's say the policies of this administration were cast aside, either by the current administration changing policies or them getting voted out. In other words the regulations get thrown out. Many businesses have claimed there is some demand, maybe not a lot, but some. The businesses start modest hiring to provide for that limited demand. The modest hiring, along with some optimism, leads to increased demand. That increased demand, in turn, motivates businesses to do some more hiring. It is an iterative process that can finally spiral in a good direction.

Oh, you don't know how many times I hear this .... per day. Of course in CRE, I'm talking to these folks all day everyday so I have my ears to the track pretty well.

The only product that’s moving is single parcel, single tenant, NNN absolute, S&P BBB or above, corporate lease, retail. This is safe and there's a return. Can't say that much about bonds t-bills, MM accounts, stock market, etc. So I have buyers and no product. Developers aren't much building. There’s little expansion going on until this guy is out of office. Obama loses and things start to turn overnight. It's like when the Repubs won the house back - next day the phone is ringing.

No wonder there are different viewpoints here. I read from many sources, including the Wall Street Journal. As with you, I also talk with and hear from various businessmen. Some of the guys here get most of their input from liberal, progressive sources with articles written by non-businessmen, socialists, and the like. No wonder they see things differently.

However, I do this (commercial real estate) 10 - 12 hours a day every day. I talk to these folks who do this, plan it and make it happen every day, all day. Off the top of my head, I can think of ONLY three liberals as brokers - all three in the CB Commercial office in Santa Monica, figures - Santa Monica! I hear similar from almost everyone, which is too bad because there’s a couple trillion sitting on the sidelines.

Different in many ways, but I think you must subscribe to some site to get canned retorts that are somewhat on subject but not really on point. Makes it easy to cut and paste when thinking and analysis is oh so hard.

I really don't waste much time with that one. When someone is that uniformed, there isn't much I can do to help.
